Ok Dan, my man, one here to test your very inner depths of computer knowledge and intellect! :)

I had a few issues recently, trying to reinstall the newest version of MSN messenger 6.1 . Reading up on the possible problems, I tried out the solution that goes something like "in the run command box, type ureg something, then type regserver something, and try installing again". I did it, and it works! :D bad news...Now an old problem I once had, is back. every time I start up windows, or every time I try to start a program, it comes up with a message saying "installing RecordNow Max". if I do not click cancel, it will come up with another box stating "the resource could not be found, "c:/windows/temp/aieht0t38hitoq whatever/RecordNowMax" It will do this a number of times, say up to 30, until I cancel enough, and it loads the program, or goes to the desktop as per normal. Any suggestions or solutions, O mighty computer God?

Hmmm...

Alex,

Go to the start menu and then run...type in "msconfig" (without the quotes) and click enter....

From the screen that pops up, go to the "Start up" tab...

Look through the list of things that starts on start up...see if you can find something that is related to RecordNowMax. If you see something, uncheck it...after you uncheck it all, click "apply" and then okay....you'll have to reboot after that....

Hopefully, that will clear up the problem...

Hey Alex,

Did that work for ya?

The other option, is to try to uninstall the program and then reinstall it. The problem with that, is by doing that...you might strip some of the shared DLL files, especially considering it's coming up at various times...

Let me know how it's going, bud..

~Dan
