I love reading! I wish I had more time! Currently I am reading mostly textbooks:p , but when I am not in school I read a lot for pleasure. I don't watch TV at all, so books and music are my entertainment at home.

probably 5 to 10 a month. I try to pace myself because buying books is costly and i dont have a library handy. If I have nothing to do or errands to run I could easily finished two books a day, or Stephen King's "It" like back in high school. I do find that my eyes tire more easily now :(

I'm in the enviable position of having a cushy enough job that I'm able to read novels at work. :D

So on average, I'll finish a novel every 3-4 days. I rarely watch TV and I frequently read more than one novel at a time.

I reread a lot of books as well, and I have several large bookshelves full of well-read books at home.

I am glad thay you are a re-reader like I am. When some of my students complain that they had READ this book before, instead of being dubious, I give them my stock answer: That is great! And good books should be re-read as they are like virgins; they never give it all up the first time! :D

Ya gotta have a gimmick and mine is humor! I teach juniors (16 and 17 year olds) and since they all know what a virgin is...and since most of the books we read deal with sex (and the allusions to it) and/or the loss of virginity as a rite of passage .....why not? What would be the problem? Levity is a key to not only setting the tone of the classroom but also to remembering things and it seems to be one of my lines they remember the most!
