Does anyone know if you can do away with brown spots on your face from tanning?

You can have them lasered off or you can try StrivectinSD. Also there is a treatment called Photofacial for discolorations.

ok, look up obagi skin products on internet, also, you can see if plastic surgeons in your area endorse the product line. i use the products and have been getting compliments of late. maybe it would work for you.

Thank you Peachy and Kitty!

Peachy,

Can I find strivectin on the internet as well? Do I need to go to a dermatologist for it?

You can find it on the net, 1love. I just got it from Tru, but you can find it online, the prices vary from 100 to 135 dollars (it can last 6 months if you only use it in your face). Do a quick search and you'll get lots of sites that sell it.

Ironically, I got a catalog in the mail today from a place that sells all kinds of products that look pretty interesting, including strivectin. (However their price for strivectin is on the high side. I paid $85 for mine.)

But their website is www.blissworld.com and I was especially interested in the sleeping peel serum and the micro exfoliating mask. Check it out.

one more thing, tanning will continue to bring out the discolorations, it may be best to cover your face. obagi is a 6 week program , after which i will do a blue peel (if i even need it) i have seen remarkable results, do expect down time and ugly time for a bit, as its key ingredient is retin-a. do the research, i did and am very comfortable with the choice i made.

Thanks maria, peachy and kitty~

I will check into these products. I do cover my face now but when out in the sun, what to do?

I never had one spot at all until last year when I tanned in a stand-up tanning bed. What's the deal with that? :(

It should be noted here that the sun is not the only offender of causing the spots. Hormones will also cause the spots. I have just ordered a new product from Bliss called "Sleeping Peel Serum" and will let you know how it works when I get it and use it for a while.

Hi 1love, I have an esthotecian and she gave me hydroquinone to use as a "bleach" on my facial freckles. I 've been using it about 3 months now, and see a difference.

Even products like Porcelana will lighten the spots, BUT it will also bleach out your tan if you have one. So I wouldn't recommend it if you want to keep a tan.
