Freeze Frame

I am, (and always have been), an avid people watcher.

Whenever I go where there are a lot of people-
it doesn't bother me in the least to take a seat on
a bench and just watch all the people.
I can be at the grocery store, the mall, the
dentist's office, or anywhere-
I am very curious about people.

Here is my question-
Have you ever seen a person, (or persons),
do something in public that
"froze' in your mind forever?

It might be a loving gesture that a person
extended to another, maybe something not so nice, or
just something that stood out as being unique
that has stayed in your mind ever since-
kinda like a Freeze Frame in life.

Well, guess I'll post to this lonley thread I started
before it fades off into oblivion.

One day, about 4 or 5 months ago-
I was having a real bad, "annoyed at the world" kind
of day and I was late for work because of a stupid phone
call from a person in my life that has a way of ruining
my days every time she calls....

Anyway, I jumped in my car and took off for work in a foul mood.
Traffic was nutty and I was going to be quite late for work-
which I hate to be.
All I remember is that I was in one of those moods
where I was ready to bite off the head of anyone that
crossed me.
It was also raining and traffic was snarled up because of that.
I decided to avoid the freeway and took a back road
to get to work.

I came to a little four-way stop and waited my turn.
I looked to the right and there was this Asian man standing
there with his little son in the pouring down rain.
The little boy must have been about 3 years old and he
was having a hey day jumping in a little puddle.
The boy looked up at me just as I looked to the right
and the biggest, brightest smile spead across his face and
he began waving at me as if I were an one of his
favorite people.
I couldn't help but smile and wave back at him-
he was so adorable!

Well, my foul, "hate the world" mood evaporated
at that instant and I kept that smile on my face the
rest of the day.
When I felt myself feeling poopie, I would just
picture the little boy that was so happy to see me-
and my smile would return.

I still think of that little boy often when I drive.
And when I do- I always smile
:p

I'd like to post too, Sage, if that's okay? :)

I like people watching too, and one day I guess
I was paying too much attention to the wrong
guy who was sitting in a parked car.

He struck up a conversation with me, and as it
turns out, the dude was gay and trying to pick
me up. At the time, I kinda thought that maybe
he needed directions and was lost.

We chatted briefly...

The conversation ended with 8 words from him:
"....So, feel like coming over for a jacuzzi?"

I was like "Um, I gotta go!" lol :D
I'll never forget that one! Too funny!
