A day of lasts!

Well my dear Ageless LDR friends and not LDR friends,

Today is a day of lasts for me and for Phil. I just wrote him my last LDR e-mail, tonight will be our last LDR instant message conversation, and tomorrow will be our last early morning phone call. Here on in, our future together is face to face, in real life, from the moment I lay eyes on him tomorrow night onward.

I sit here and wonder how we endured it all these long months. We've only ever been together a few short weeks at time. But as you in LDRs know, sometimes those few short weeks can feel like the most alive you feel over the course of an entire month or year.

I'm not worried if we have what it takes to succeed together. I know that we do. I saved Phil's life and he gave my life back to me in return. How could we not love one another? This love is something like neither one of us has ever known. *big smile*

Isn't it great to have another one of these LDR's bite the dust in a good way? I can't wait till we start writing the book of our new life together..... Thanks to all of you who have helped me see the possibility regardless of our gap...you are simply, wonderful.

Yes, tonight is our last instant message conversation, at least over distance. We will probably be using it further as I continue on in college and perhaps just as a form of beating boredom. But we will always have the option of a face to face meeting to clarify, which sometimes, if things don't go right, if there's a misunderstanding, it can be a slight hitch there, without that face to face meeting.

I can also guarentee more early morning phone calls, but they will probably be more local. I believe I'll try to call her tomorrow morning before I have to go, depending if I can. So maybe today was the last one from distance. As of next Monday, bubblee and I will be sharing the same address, at least for the summer, as I prepare to enter a new college. Thank you all, and I do feel like quite a survivor. This is starting to enter the downhill stretch, as it's been tough the past couple weeks. But Thank God, we're almost there!

I know how long you've waited...how tough it's been...and I'm sure that many of us here know the times of doubt and frustration you must have felt occasionally. Well, that's all over now. I am so happy for you two. :)

Congratuations!!!

From one LDR survior to another...I know it will be absolutely wonderful! Waking up next to Dave for the last 4 years is a miracle that never ceases to amaze me. I know that the two of you will make every day special and every night paradise.

Peace,
Jane
