K. and I saw Harry Potter on Sunday, and one of the trailers was for a movie version of "Thunderbirds". He got all excited about how he used to have all the models. I had no idea what he was talking about, and only with prompting recalled having once seen a commercial for a cable channel showing reruns of some stop-motion show where the people all looked like Lego men. Yep, we are definitely from different television generations.
Anybody else have one of those moments lately?

My OM and I are pretty in tuned with each other culturally...except when I bring up some of the 80's stuff I grew up on...cartoons and toys, stuff he's never heard about. The generation gap definitely comes up sometimes when he says things like "back in 84 when I was working on the Gary Hart campaign..." I'm thinking, wow! in 84 I was busy giving Barbie a bad haircut!

When D and I would be in the car he'd turn it to the Classic Rock stations. I knew most of the songs...then there are the few that he's rockin' out to and I have NO CLUE what the song is....and he's like....REMEMBER THIS BAND?!?! Uh, no :)
