Hello everyone! I posted this in new members forum but maybe it was more fitting here.

I am so thankful to have found this board many, many months ago. I have been reading for some time and finally took the plunge. LOL! ;)

I hope to contribute to this community and get know all of you as well as let you get to know me.

I am currently in a YW/OM long distance relationship with a man 19 yrs. older than me. He is truly amazing. We met online but not on a dating site. We met on a fitness board. We weren't looking for love at the time either. Weird how it worked out! I was planning on moving from the US to Canada to study for two yrs. He joined the fitness community I was a member at for over a yr. and in his profile he indicated his location was in Ontario, Canada. As I was planning my move to Canada I contacted him one day to see if he could help me with some suggestions. I asked him if he had any recommendations for gyms in the area I was moving to. He didn't live in the part of Ontario I would be moving to but he asked his cousin who did to help me. We exchanged PMs on that fitness board for about a month before he gave me his phone number. I was sure I would never call him but one day I did. From our first conversation we hit it off and talked daily. For hours! After a little over a month of talking on the phone, we both knew there was something special there. He being so much older than me was scared that I wouldn't want anything to do with him. He also feared that I didn't feel the same. We kept our feelings at that point to ourselves until one day we both knew we both felt the same without ever expressing that in words. Our relationship grew fonder daily but we still had not met. Finally over 6 months since our first contact we met in May of this year. I visited him in Canada for two weeks. We had an amazing time! From the time he picked me up at the airport we were as if we had known one another for ages. I just returned from visiting him, four days ago. I miss him terribly! We plan to be together again in less than 20 days and this time for three weeks. I can't wait! In the future we hope to close the gap (locationwise) in our relationship.

Not only did I find an amazing friend but also an amazing person to love and have love me. All this when we both least expected it!

Now that I've bored you with my relationship story here is some info. about me. I am 21 years old. I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to mainland US in 1991 when I was 9.9 years old. I have resided in mainland US since then. I am of British, Spanish and Puerto Rican decent. I speak two languages fluently. I can understand several other languages and carry small conversations in German, Italian, Portuguese and Heringosa. I am studying to become a bilingual clinical child psychologist. I love music, art, and traveling.

Welcome to Ageless, Belle and I hope you have a great time here with us.

I am Brazilian (I also like languages, but have no idea of what is heringosa!), 43, my boyfriend is 27 and he lives in New Hampshire, I live in Europe! It's hard to be far from each other, but lots of people in these boards have gone through it and are now together, so get your inspiration here!

Yours is a beautiful story, did you feel the age gap at all?

Thanks for the welcome Maria.

Heringosa is a language that has pretty much died out. It was spoken by Taino Indians in Puerto Rico many moons ago. Ha! Ha!

I have never seen my boyfriend as a 39 year old. He certainly doesn't look old and is very youthful and active much like me. In my mind I see him as a mid to late 20 yr. old. It's funny because sometimes I "forget" he is older. The past two weeks when I was visiting him and I met some of his co-workers and friends and told them I was 21 when they asked my age some of their jaws dropped. Others later made comments to him, calling him a craddle robber.

I've dated older men in the past. I've never dated any guy my age, younger, or even within 5 yrs. of my age so the age gap isn't a new experience for me. He is the oldest guy I've ever dated though.
