Finally got over there

Hi everyone,

You may remember how many times I've posted on here saying that yet again my plans to visit P had been postponed because of one family illness or another and how many problems this was starting to cause in our relationship. Anyway, I finally got over there and had the time of my life.
I flew over there on 13th last month and stayed for a full month. All the way over there I was wondering how we'd both react, after all, we'd not seen each other for about 18 months and so much has happened between then but I needn't have worried. As soon as P saw me he threw his arms around me and it just felt like I'd finally come home again. I was right there where I belonged.
We got to do so many things together, he really enjoyed showing me all around his beautiful country, meeting his friends, taking me with him when he went to do his radio show, that was fantastic, he always tapes them for me and sends them but it was just so special actually being there seeing it go out live to air. He even let me choose all the music for the show he did just before I had to come home again.
We also did a lot of talking about our relationship, what we both want for the future and about how we're going to deal with being apart again when I had to come home. We both know that the love we have is strong enough to get us through it all until we can be together for the rest of our lives. We've got through so many hard times these past 3 years and in spite of it all are still very committed to making it work and I know we can do this.
Right now we're apart again, I'm actually going to the travel agents again this week and will be booking flights for me and my 2 children to go over there again in February/March, depending on when I can get the flights so we have that to look forward to. In the meantime we're just taking each day as it comes, talking on the phone, writing and all the other day to day things we need to do in life.
I really feel like my life is finally turning around, all the bad things that have been happening I can finally put in the past and look to my future and that of my children. I feel like a big weight has been lifted from me, my depression is finally easing and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Sorry for rambling, I tend to do that when I get happy and excited :) Take care

Terrific news, Kay! I'm so happy for you. What country does he live in?

He lives in Sydney, Australia so as you can see we have a lot of miles between us both right now. I know it won't be forever though and that's what gets me through the bad days. :)

kay... great news! wonderful when it works out, and seems like time and distance have been major issues for you. but as you said, hold on to the good times, and know there is an end in sight...
