Serendipity 07-23-2004, 11:47 AM I bet folks houses are just a bit cleaner! ;)
I worked a bit more, but spent a good amount of time checking in to see if the site was back up. :p
What did you do while ageless was down?

What did you do while ageless was down? Suffer withdrawals, lol.
Maria 07-23-2004, 11:56 AM I painted a little closet, a candle holder, started to paint some shelves (I like to use stencils) and I've written some articles in advance for my Summer break...
But most of all I checked on this site all the time and kept in touch with Stan to know what was going on, and posted at the Unofficial Ageless Photo Album, again our Saviour! :)
1love 07-23-2004, 12:04 PM I actually did some house work and also caught up on my sleep.
ScarletHawke 07-23-2004, 12:09 PM Cleaned the apartment a bit, chatted with Goldenhawke online, obsessively checked Ageless, got frustrated that no one in my writer's group critiqued my latest chapter yet, emailed my mother a lot, obsessively checked Ageless, followed the news about the Molson-Coors merger (what the heck is up with that?!), read White Oleander and Mythago Wood, discovered a new used-bookstore in town (yay!), and oh yeah... obsessively checked Ageless.
WiserNotSadder 07-23-2004, 12:13 PM Worked on my book, worked on a proposal for a conference in October. Checked Ageless a lot. Developed an "attitude of gratitude" that I was actually getting more work done than usual, because I didn't have Ageless to distract me.
Hoped that, as a result of the hiatus, I would be "broken" of my habit of checking Ageless so often.
We'll see if I am being overly optimistic...
Maria 07-23-2004, 12:22 PM As I hadn't expected the site to be back, I will have to leave you all for some hours because actually... hmmmmmmm I know this will sound like betrayal, rude.... well, actually I am going to have dinner out!
I swear I didn't know the site would be back tonight or I wouldn't dare having a life, but you see, it's too late to say no, now, and also.... I have to confess, it's Japanese food and that's my little secret sin... I love it....
Have a great evening, you all!
Serendipity 07-23-2004, 12:30 PM Maria, it's almost only 10:30 am here....so no Japanese yet!
May have a 2nd cup of coffee though....
The temperature today in Northern California:
Currently 70 degrees F.
Says it will be 92, but I'm guessing 100.....
:D

Dan_Shues 07-23-2004, 01:41 PM One word: Computers.
*LOL*
That, and pinging the server to see if it was a server blow up. *LOL*
1love 07-23-2004, 01:59 PM That, and pinging the server to see if it was a server blow up. *LOL*
Dan~
Your "pinging" did not go unnoticed... ;)
Maria 07-23-2004, 03:02 PM  @ Trish
Cruel woman, we have to read that and not know the rest?
Cruelty to Ageless members should be sanctioned. And by the way, moderators have to know who is flirting, just to confirm all is fine. :p
1love 07-23-2004, 03:16 PM Oh, btw Dan...
What was the outcome... did your... er, uh... the server blow up after all that "pinging"?:D
LOL... I couldn't resist, Trish inspired me to ask! It's all her fault!:p
whiterose 07-25-2004, 02:11 AM I spent my time reading and watching TLC... and oh yeah, talking to Remi. ;)
whiterose 07-25-2004, 02:48 AM You know you're hooked on ageless when you get up to go to the bathroom at 3 a.m. and check to see if the site is back up,find that it is, and rather than return to bed, you stay up and read and post for 45 minutes. :D
Ok. am all caught up on ageless.... back to bed. I hope it will still be up when I wake up in the morning.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
btw, Has anyone else noticed that the clock on ageless seems to be off by an hour? Before the site went down, it was always an hour behind the actual time for me despite my setting it as Eastern US time, which is the timezone I'm in. Now, it's showing 2 hours behind my actual time. I even checked to make sure my settings were still set on the correct time zone.
Cheryl 07-25-2004, 05:59 PM HI All:
Trish you must share your secret with me. I'd love to have a phone conversation with a sexy man. Hey I have hope though!
Anyway got caught up on some reading, house cleaning and preparing for my surgery on Tuesday morning. I will miss Ageless for about four days, but will be back to check. Uck! 6 to 8 weeks bed rest.
But I am glad to know I am not the only one here at that time of the morning... I hate not being able to sleep... gives me to much time to think.
Yep. There are other Hoosier insomniacs who post on Ageless and spend too much time thinking. :)
whiterose 07-25-2004, 06:28 PM LOL Dragonfly and Mark! It's not often that I actually lose sleep. I am usually dead to the world the minute my head hits the pillow and then can't hardly get up in the morning. But, I'll keep you two in mind the next time I am ever up at that hour again. Maybe we can join up in the chatroom and keep each other company. :)

Hehe, it worked, now we know a bit more about this mystery... ;)
1love 07-25-2004, 08:47 PM Did you have a phone conversation with a sexy man, too, Melisa?! LOL! If not I highly recommend it!
Yep Trish, I did! I second your recommendation... we Pisces girls know what it's all about!;)
whiterose 07-26-2004, 02:02 PM I forgot to add that while I was off ageless, I was able to actually do other net surfing and realized that I can actually access Romanian radio stations through my computer! Which means that I can listen to the romanian language whenever I want, which means that I can close my eyes and be taken back in time to Bucharest whenever I want. ;) Maybe it will also help me learn more about the language. The station also plays some beautiful Romanian folk music, which helps me learn more about his traditions.
I also found some excellent live webcam sites where I can view Bucharest, and other cities in Romania, anytime as well. I know about cams, but am I the last person on earth who knew that you can pick up radio stations from all over the world through the computer?????
I bored Ravenglow almost to death! Damn that girl is funny!!!
Jo-Admin 07-27-2004, 06:42 AM I caught up on my sleep....checked the site... got over a kidney infection..checked the site....cleaned up a bit...checked the site.....went to the movies with my b/f and son...checked the site....wondered how many members were checking the site and getting frustrated....checked the site again....by day four or so I was sitting on my front porch staring at the birds...wondering if I should go all the way upstairs to check the site....so I checked the site.
Then I made a deal with myself that I was only going to check to see if the site was up once in the morning and once in the evening....then after I made the deal I checked the site about 50 more times that afternoon...lol.
Im must say, Im just glad the site is back up, and everyone still seems to be here and doing okay. I missed my morning coffee with Ageless soooo much! ((hugs)) everyone! Im so glad your all still here.
