My life?
Hmmm, I thought about the same thing when I read the topic...

~lol~ Yah Paul... what can I say ... it was one of my deeper and more introspective days. ~rolls eyes~
Had a had a stick I would have considered poking someone with it. Hey ... misery loves company! Nothing worse then feeling like things are passing you by ... the fact that somedays it seems to be your life ... sucks. ~winks~ Been there ... done that ... have the T-shirt and the hat to match.
But then I suspect discontent is often what motivates us to make change... so it is not ALL bad. If I remember correctly ... I think I took the easy way out that day ... and opted for some chocolate and a glass of wine. Hey ... the lazy works sometimes too!
HEY!!! It's not fair!!!
I wasn't even considering chocolate as an option and NOW I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY MIND!!! because of you!!!!! WHAT A FRIEND!!!! lol
Kidding, I already had some this morning for my breakfast (!!!!), chocolate is men's best friend.
You know, i think we are privileged to think about life while we still can change things, when I was 18 my uncle (the american one) told me he'd help me getting a green card, so I'd study and work abroad, broaden my experiences, etc... I thought it was all bullshit, started my own business while I was too young for that, believed too much in our politicians and the future of my dear country...
What for? Now I'm 31 and wishing I was 18 again.
Oh-oh... Too rebel? philosophical?? Am I in need of some more chocolate??? HEY!!! WHERE'S THAT HERSHEY'S????? :)
WiserNotSadder 07-28-2004, 01:06 PM Cleaning out my office at the university. It's summer recess, so I haven't been spending much time there, but the new semester will start soon and I really must file some of the stuff in those piles.
Actually, I began working on it yesterday. I put on my new CD of Latin American guitar music, and went to work. I ended up clearing out a corner of the office, and it already looks better. I'll be working on it again within an hour.
You know, stuff you procrastinate doesn't seem nearly as bad once you actually start doing it! Thinking about it is more unpleasant than actually doing it.
RobsGirl 07-28-2004, 01:27 PM Cleaning the freaking bathroom. . .I hate cleaning the bathroom and in the middle of an 80 hour work week, who has freaking time???
whisper 07-28-2004, 02:34 PM Going back to Jazzercise (dance/exercise) classes, which I finally did two days ago after having stopped for 3 years. It's an intense aerobic dance/exercise, 1-hour long, no stopping once type of class. But...................I sure am more sore than I ever used to be after classes:(
meshunny 07-28-2004, 06:20 PM Molly,
I totally know where you are coming from ! Why doesn't cleaning the bathroom pass to someone else after you have done it for years and years ??? I have done it for 37 years and not once has anyone (but my poor dead mother) ever done it for me......
I don't usually procrastinate too long.
My ageless friends might guess I am putting off quitting smoking.
"big sigh"

Hey!!! You're absolutely right!!!
(Sophism and hunger, two inseparable friends ...lol...)
Someone I know (I really don't remember who he is) once went to see the doctor and doc said:
"you can eat anything you like, you only have to cut sugar, flour and salt from your dishes". I swear it's true...
Man, all hapiness in the world can be described as sugar...
Ahh sugar...chocolate, pasta...SUSHI!!! FOOD, FOOD, I NEED FOOD!!!!
oppsss, errrr. sorry, a little nervous wreck going on here.
Please, can anyone send some pizzas to Brazil RIGHT NOW?
:) Paulo
meshunny 07-28-2004, 09:37 PM You forgot one.........cut fat too. The guy in front of me at work has cut sugar, white flour, and most fats from his diet. One day a week he can eat what he wants. YIKES !!
ravenglow 07-28-2004, 09:56 PM Paulo,
A couple of NY style pizzas coming right up!!!
I guess you wont be cutting the flour or the salt tonite. And I bet there is even a pinch of sugar in the tomato sauce!! :p

ENJOY!!
whisper 07-28-2004, 11:06 PM You all just made me realize.....I am the only one in my house who ever cleans the bathrooms!! Dang. That's not fair. Why don't guys ever look at a dirty sink or dirty toilet and get a sudden, irresistable urge to clean it? I don't get it. Sheesh:rolleyes:
You're all cracking me up with the food thing. I'm hungry! Jeremy is working until around 9:30 tonight, and I don't want to eat dinner alone again tonight, so I'm waiting until he arrives. I made myself a big mesclun salad with tofu, avacados, crabmeat and Shitake/sesame vinegarette. I'm starving. My husband doesn't like when I make my heath foods - he's Mr. Carboholic....he'll take one of those pizzas you're offering.
Well, at least my son, Christopher, is playing piano and singing beautiful songs. Right now he's singing "She" (Charles Aznavour) - I love that song.....it's the first time I've heard him play it.
Well, here I am bouncing around all over the place in this post. It's obvious that I'm hungry, lol. I even forgot what this thread was about in the first place.
Ooohhh, now Christopher is singing, "Jesse" (Janis Ian). Christopher has become very popular at a local Karoke place, from what I hear. A lot of us are telling him to enter one of those television talent shows for singers.
Ok.....I'd better stop posting tonight (at least until after I eat) - I'm off in too many different directions.

Isn't that something we are all always procrastinating? The "I'll stop posting for today" thing? ;)
I love "She", too, it's such a great love song from a man to a woman... :)
