can someone please define for me what a long distance relationship is? i'm thinking in terms of miles, or is it amount of time it takes to travel (in whatever manner) between two people, or what?

I can understand that! When myhusband and I were dealing with the LDR. I too was so jealous of people that at least lived in the same country. My honey was almost 10,000 miles away! Glad it's over...and for you christina, the end is in sight!!! HUGS whiterose 08-26-2004, 07:01 PM I agree that it is subjective. And like Nessa, I feel that any place where I have to drive for an hour or more, or fly to get to, would be long distance for me. I can't wait until these 5500 miles between my fiance and me are reduced to mere fractions of inches. :p Catlover, hope you don't mind, but I moved your thread to the LDR forum. christina923 08-26-2004, 07:08 PM guinavere..thank you... any prayers would be appreciated. know its going to be ok, but still nervous! tessys25 08-27-2004, 01:01 AM Living in Houston, TX an hours drive is not that much (Your barely across town!) I am in a situation kinda like that but no distance involved. My YM lives about 15 mins away which is great! BUT because of his age, (18) his parents have him on a VERY short leash and I only get to see him like once a week. So sometimes I "feel" like I am in a long distance relationship, when he lives just mins. down the road! I guess I have it really good though when I compare my situation to my sister's where she lives here and her man lives in Sweden, So I feel for all of you LDR! But I agree I think it is all what "you" feel is a considerable amount of time or distance or what you are willing to accept. |
