Marriages of yw/om of 10 + years

I am falling for a man who is 25 years older than I. After reading most of your forums ( which are all unique and very much an encouragement!), I am curious to hear from those that have gotten past all the what, if's and buts. For all you yw with om that have been married for 10 + years...Please Please Please, do tell if it is still everything that your heart truely desired.

I haven't yet met your 10+ year requirement, but I really wanted to comment anyway:D .

G and I have been together for almost 5 years and yes, we have had some very turbulent times recently. It has not all been wonderful, some of it has been plain s#^*ty. However, HE is just as wonderful as he was when I first fell for him.

In the past, I often had the concerns that you expressed in your post: "what will it be like 10, 15, 20 years from now?"
My answer: It could be just as wonderful, it could suck, or it might not even exist. Who really knows? G may not be the person that I am supposed to be with for the rest of my life, but he is the person that I am supposed to be with right now. He may not be "the one," (no one can REALLY know that) but he IS the right one RIGHT NOW.

Hi Lyra. I'm fairly new to Agelsss and would like to hear more on that subject as well. My om is 22 plus years older. We're madly in love and have been together for only six months. I've been divorced twice, and unless I've somehow forgotten what it feels like to be in love, I've never felt like this before. I'm so in love I want to cry. I think about him night and day. My stomach is sick over it! This must be the one! I would love for someone to tell me that I'm not crazy, that this can last. I know the odds are not that I will outlive him, but I don't care. I just want to be with him for as long as he's here. He's 59 now. He could be here for another 20 or 30 years, right? Maybe longer.

I would love to hear more about your relationship. I don't know anyone with such a big age difference. We're from totally different worlds, but we have so much in common. We even think each other's thoughts already!

Well My husband is 17 years older than I am and we just had a beautiful baby boy July 8th!!! I am 29 and he is 46......

We got over the hump because we dont' think of the Age.... We listen to our hearts and know how we feel.... we also live for today.. and never for the future... Anyone at any age can try and figure out the future but there is no one that can predict that... it is truely the Unknown!! My late fiance died at 25 years old... and we had our whole future planned etc.. and in one second my life was over as I knew it..... SO live for today not for 10 years down the road because you won't know what will happen... If you truely love this person heart and soul then Nothing should get in your way!
