I believe my last concert was Nellie. I took my daughter for her birthday. I can't remember any since.

Not sure about my next concernt. James really wanted to go see Tim McGraw, but he wasn't off work. Don't know when time will permit it...but would love to get out and see one!

My first show was Jethro Tulls 20th Reunion Tour at Merriweather Post Pavilion. I was 18.

My last show was Dismemberment Plan ~ their final show at the 9:30 Club in DC, prior to that it was DP at the Black Cat (2nd to last show).

My next show should be Ministry at 9:30 Club at the end of the month, if I can get tickets.

**********************************
I decided after last years Lollapalooza (which I really enjoyed, having Incubus and Jane's Addiction ~ and a couple weird little bands on the second stage, one from Toronto who I LOVED called Billy Talent. SALLY - Check them out sometime, they're fun) that I wasn't going to do any BIG shows.

I don't like to have a 'seat,' I don't like excessive crowds, I like to get up close to the band and flip out in the pit. One of my favorite things about Dismemberment Plan was they invited people up to dance on stage with them. Spent the entire 2nd to last show on stage dancing. FUN.

That stuff just doesn't happen in the BIG shows. So, I will go to a small show... 9:30 Club or Black Cat. But places like Merriweather or Nissan Pavilion or RFK. No thanks. I don't like pop music anyway! LOL. If they're big enough to play RFK, then I probably don't like them anymore. Okay, except for the Beastie Boys. I still like them. :D

My second concert was Mary J Blige! She performed with Jodeci and . . . I can't remember, but I think there was a third act!

My first concert was UB40, I think (I have a REALLY bad memory).

My last concert was Ottmar Liebert . . . soooo good!

My next concert . . . hmmm . . . probably something at the CSO, unless a good group comes around before that.

I can do Merengue......but Salsa I definitally need lessons. :-) Its tricky because its in between fast and slow dancing. I absolutley adore Elvis Crespo...he's too cool!!! I don't even know what he's singing about, but I love it anyways. :-) I think I will loose control @ one of his concerts! LOL

I took Salsa lessons for several months with my boyfriend between husbands... he was from El Salvador. (meow) BUT, he had two left feet. He had taken lessons with his former girlfriend for over four months. Two months into lessons, I was dancing with the teacher with no problems and he was still "counting." UGH.

Our teacher was a guy named Jesus who had danced with Gloria Estephan. :p He was GOOOOOD.

That boyfriend pretty much broke it off with me when we went Salsa/Merrenge (or however you spell that) dancing in Georgetown and when we were dancing, I said "Carlos, hon, you really gotta stop counting, the music counts for you... hear the beats." He walked off angry as all get out. I'd only been doing Salsa 2.5 months! And the second he did, someone else stepped in to dance with me.

I know, I know.. if I'd been a "good" girlfriend, I would have followed him off in his hissy fit, but dang, I was wearin my nicest dress and ready to dance all nite long...

My first concert was Gowan:o I was like 10.
My first real concert was Alice Cooper. I was 14.

My last concert was Mettallica f/GodSmack. Oct. 04. It was well worth the wait. I had been dying to see them since I was 14.

The best concert I "saw" was Pink Floyd. June 1994 age 19. All the rumours were true!

RED: I can not bellieve someone else other than me knows who Faster P*ssy Cat is!
I wanted to see NickelBack sooo badly! Didn't/will. I went to school with 3 Doors Down and was bartending at a club where they played just before they became famous.

To be honest, concerts were like a "new thing" and my first was the Beatles in 1964 in Chicago ... I had gotten tickets via the lottery system and was like in HEAVEN! I remember I made and designed a white suit (yes it was when we dressed up and males wore suits to concerts) in which I embroidered all their names and sayings.... I wish I would have kept it! All I remember were girls crying and screaming.... and me with my ears plugged so I could hear them!

My last concert was Tina Turner about 13 years ago... I am not really one to go to concertshias I hate crowds! I wanted to see Cher's final appearance but it was cancelled due to the hurricanes.

PS. Ravenglow-REO brings back memories, as before they hit it "big" they were a local college band and I was one of their main groupies following them to most drivable towns! Who would have thunk they go big!!!

1st concert ~ Sha Na Na when I was still a kid in 8th grade. The nuns took the whole class among a zillion other classes from other schools. What I remember most is that right before Sha Na Na appeared the lights were cut totally, and about 5 seconds later spotlights come on, right on their butts!! The nuns gasped in shock... LOLOLOLOL

Okay, sorry.....

Last concert ~ Alice Cooper

Next concert ~ I wanna see Heart!

And Van Halen opening for Black Sabbath in the late 70's Ozzy was still fronting Sabbath I think it was 1978? Boy the were they freakin' great!! Hail the dark prince!
