Is it a guy thing? Are they all stupid?

I know I spoke of this before, but it's driving me nuts!! I sent my YM a really cute/sexy card telling him that I missed him.....never heard if he got it, and I've talked to him a few times since.

I also sent him a cute happy "im so proud of you" email the other day. No word on that either. I don't know what to do.

Do I just ask him, "Hey! Did you get my card and my email?" I mean come on already!!!!!!! And he left me a message today without speaking a word of either again......... I swear he is clueless.

I am sick of asking him if he got stuff from me. Should I just not go out of my way anymore? Do I just lay off? Is he being unappreiciative or is it one of those things cause he is so busy it slips his mind when we talk?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I don't think it's necessarily a guy thing. My boyfriend says the same thing about me. He sends me something or emails me something and I either don't reply to his emails or I never mention that I received what he mailed me. I don't do it to ignore him. I am appreciative of little things he does like that. Sometimes I am so buy swith work and life that I just forget.

He started asking me if I ever received emails or his snail mail. After he asked me several times in a row (for different items) I finally realized that he felt I was not appreciative. So now I try to email him back or mention that I received whatever he sent me. Sometimes it may be a few days or even a week before I reply to his emails but when I receive sometime I make it a point to call him right away to let him know. If he doesn't answer I leave him a message. That way I don't forget.

Sally,
I am the ultimate late bloomer but I think thats what keeps me so young, new and refreshed, I don't rush to figure things out. LOL

I like what you said, it all makes logical sense. Different communication styles, yep makes sense. But in the mean time, do i stop what im doing? Do i keep letting it happen and feel disappointed when I have to ask. Or do I train the poor guy?
