Hi! I'm Vixen, 46, with Cupid, 30, for two years. Much to the shock and dismay of many family members (on both sides) we are together and happy and committed to each other. I often wondered why a handsome young man would want an "old lady" but as time has gone by, I realized it's not an old lady he wants. It's ME. We are best friends, lovers, roommates, playmates,and sounding boards for each other. There are a lot of things I've been able to teach him, and he re-introduced me to myself- the me I really am, not just mother, daughter, sister,and wife that I was to everyone else. To everyone who tortures themselves over the age difference in their relationship, I can tell you that it can work. Go with it. Enjoy it. I believe he will love me in 20 years. But if something happens and we find ourselves apart, I know that neither of us will ever regret a moment of our time together. We read these boards together often and it is a joy to see so many happy, healthy relationships. When a co-worker of mine met him, (she is about my age) she said "God is good!" To that I say AMEN!
