silverlasha 06-30-2007, 11:31 PM Sweet Tea is an iced drink you can order at any restaurant in the South. My family went to a chinese buffet the other night. When asked for an order for what we wanted to drink, all 8 of us said sweet tea. Even our baby of 2 years old. It is sweet tea or Dr. Pepper!!:D
PinkPanther_04 06-30-2007, 11:38 PM I don't understand why they don't serve sweet tea in Texas, but it does support my assertion that Texas isn't really part of the South. We do have sweet tea in Florida though. It's really good, and you don't have to readjust the sweetness of your tea every time the server comes and fills the glass back up. And no stirring. Dissolving sugar in cold tea takes forever! And am I the only one who's noticed that a lot of places don't give you a teaspoon when you order unsweet tea? I've had to stir my sugar with a straw before and that just doesn't work.
SoraNoYume 06-30-2007, 11:48 PM I can't drink sweet tea......I'm diabetic.......but sometimes I cheat.....and its so good.....and in the south, their sweet tea can put me in a coma....it's more like, "Would you like some tea with your sugar?" :tongue2:

Chatterbox 07-01-2007, 12:15 AM Stevia. Anyone use Stevia? It has a taste that's different than sugar, but I like it so much in my coffee that I MISS it if I'm at a restaurant and use sugar or another sweetener!
Also, very odd: I cannot, cannot, cannot use Stevia to make lemonade ... it's just AWFUL ... but I bought some liquid Stevia - one with lemon and one with orange flavor - added and it's DELICIOUS in ice tea!!!
It's zero calories and it's not supposed to affect insulin production/raise blood sugar ... so maybe it's safe for diabetics?

Pink . . . We certainly DO have sweet tea in Texas. Every Sonic in Texas I have been to has sweet tea as well as quite a few of the restaurants in the Dallas area.
And you have hit on one of my big pet peeves with restaurants that don't serve the tea already sweetened. I have gotten to the place that when I place my order for tea in one of those restaurants, I tell them I also want sugar and a spoon.
You are so right about trying to sweeten cold tea . . . I'm not sure the sugar ever really dissolves. That is why I sweeten my whole pitcher when the tea maker gets finished with it. It is still warm and all the sugar melts. Then I put it in the 'fridge and it's perfect every time I want to pour a glass.
'Course if you come to visit me and don't drink your tea sweetened, you're kinda out of luck!:tongue2:

I never even thought of ordering tea at Sonic. I always get that ocean water stuff. And really, I've never gotten sweet tea anywhere in the DFW area. I didn't know restaurants served sweet tea until I moved to North Carolina several years ago. I guess I've just been going to the wrong places.
Belisama 07-01-2007, 12:31 PM do ya'll have sweet tea at your chain restaurants?
No sweet tea served in the midwest but my family's been in Atlanta for years. Plenty of sweet tea over in those parts. If you asked someone here in IL for some sweet tea, they'd bring you a cup of tea with a sugar packet! LOL! :tongue2:

Chatterbox 07-01-2007, 04:24 PM I'm guessing that chain restaurants that originated in certain parts of the South would serve sweet tea regardless of the location - maybe?
I honestly did not know that people drank iced tea while I was growing up in Rhode Island. When I first saw "sweet tea" on a menu in a Southern restaurant, I thought it was a euphemism for something else, and when someone told me it was iced tea, I thought it was a type of tea served over ice!! LOL I also remember ordering ice coffee and getting hot coffee poured over ice!!!
Question to everyone: Did you grow up calling it "ice tea" or "ice coffee" or "iced tea" or "iced coffee"?
Chatterbox 07-01-2007, 04:31 PM Random thought: It's kind of sad that we are exposed to so many things in all parts of the country now. Takes some of the fun out of traveling or moving to another area.
silverlasha 07-01-2007, 05:26 PM we always called it Sweet Tea as we grew up. In fact I was traveling across country once with my granddaughter. She had grown up in Virginia and was very used to ordering sweet tea in restaurants. I think it was Texas we went in a restaurant and she ordered sweet tea and was asked if she meant iced tea. And she got it without sugar and it just doesn't taste the same if the sugar hasn't been melted in the hot tea. She had to order soda after that experience.
As to Stevia, it is the best sweetner for diabetics, or anyone. It has been used in paraguay and brazil for centuries and has been manufactured for many countries in South America and lots in Japan since 1970. It can be used in cooking and baking as it is stable up to 400F. The FDA will not approve it as a sweetner as they claim that they have not been presented with anything proving it is safe. It is legal to by as a diet supplement tho. Since these studies and research is done by big Pharma companies to get a patent on their production of chemicals. Who is gonna do research on Stevia because no patent is available. It is a plant, like sugar cane, you can grow it yourself. Even Splenda is not the better artificial sweetner people think it is:
Why not use Splenda? Research in animals has shown that sucralose (which is what Splenda is made from) can cause many problems such as:
Shrunken thymus glands (up to 40 percent shrinkage)
Enlarged liver and kidneys
Atrophy of lymph follicles in the spleen and thymus
Increased cecal weight
Reduced growth rate
Decreased red blood cell count
Hyperplasia of the pelvis
Extension of the pregnancy period
Aborted pregnancy
Decreased fetal body weights and placental weights
Diarrhea
Although rather long, here is some excellent info on Splenda.
The following is part of an interview with Dr. Janet Starr Hull Health Newsletter, December 2003 on the safety of sucralose found in Splenda.
Questions You Need to Have Answered Before You Eat Splenda
Q: What exactly is Splenda?
A: In a simple sentence, you would just as soon have a pesticide in your food as sucralose because sucralose (Splenda) is a chlorocarbon. The chlorocarbons have long been known for causing organ, genetic, and reproductive damage. It should be no surprise, therefore, that the testing of sucralose reveals that it can cause up to 40 percent shrinkage of the thymus: a gland that is the very foundation of our immune system. Sucralose also causes swelling of the liver and kidneys, and CALCIFICATION of the kidney. Note: if you experience kidney pain, cramping, or an irritated bladder after using sucralose in Splenda, stop use immediately.
Q: So sucralose is not found as a natural compound in nature, like real sugar?
A: Absolutely not. No sugar molecule is compounded with chlorine anywhere in nature.
Q: Do you know how it is made in the laboratory?
A: I found this information from a statement from the manufacturer, actually. 'Sucralose is made from sugar, but is derived from sucrose (sugar) through a process that selectively substitutes three atoms of chlorine for three hydrogen-oxygen groups on the sucrose molecule. No artificial sweetener made in the laboratory is going to be neither natural to the body nor safer than unprocessed sugar', they claim.
People need to stop searching for excuses to eat all the junk food they want without penalty. In the long run, no one benefits from this product but the corporations.
Q: The corporate researchers claim that the chlorine atoms are so tightly bound; they create a molecular structure that is exceptionally stable under extreme pH and temperature conditions. Do you agree?
A: They are testing these conditions in lab rats, and these types of corporate studies have forced and 'selective'
results, in my opinion. Aspartame research is the proof of this!
Test these chemicals on a child and see how stable it is--but that would be cruel. So, why then do we buy it and give it to our children? I don't buy into manufacturers' claims when it comes to human beings using ANY man-made chemical. Plus, I have learned over the past 25 years of aspartame research to value independent research above that which is funded by corporations.
Q: The corporations say sucralose is safe.
A: They said the same thing about aspartame, and look at the rampant disease and obesity taking over America since aspartame was put into the food supply over 20 years ago.
Q: Can sucralose cause cancer?
A: Any animal that eats chlorine (especially on a regular basis) is at risk of cancer. The Merk Manuel and OSHA 40 SARA 120 Hazardous Waste Handbook states that chlorine is a carcinogen and emergency procedures should be taken when exposed via swallowing, inhaling, or through the skin.
It all depends upon how much you use and how often, your present and past health status, and the degree of other toxins you are putting inside your body. Good luck with this one …
Q: Sucralose has been thoroughly tested, they claim. Actually they have stated that sucralose is the most tested food additive in history. I quote, " … more than 100 studies on the safety of sucralose designed to meet the highest scientific standards have been conducted and evaluated over the course of 20 years."
A: I don't believe that for a second. They stated verbatim the same thing about aspartame. We are looking at the same scenario in so many ways. As withNutraSweet, no human studies, corporate payrolled researchers, selective result reporting, government involvement and personal financial interests and controlled media. I will say that sucralose is not as dangerous as aspartame.
Q: Splenda is approximately 600 times sweeter than sugar. How can that be?
A: As I stated before, the product is a forced product, not a natural sugar the body uses for fuel. People forget that sweetness is a by-product of foods--a bonus so to say. Forced sweetness, revved-up sweetness, and artificial sweetness--all altered foods that are a trap for people to get addicted to the sweeter tastes. People with eating disorders, children who are just learning about food, and people with illnesses are all being 'sold a bill of rubbish' in my opinion
Chatterbox 07-01-2007, 06:35 PM I can't believe that neither the manufacturer, the FDA, or the government agencies that regulate advertising have responded to demands that Splenda not be described as being made from sugar.
Sugar ants won't eat Splenda. I find that very telling. ;)

Why do people go to see a city fireworks display and shoot-off their $50.00 of fireworks at the same time the city is shooting off it's $45,000.00 of fireworks?
Well to watch the fireworks in my city, mobs of people are hanging out in the park, some have been in line for a good spot since last Thursday. Usually, the 4th is in the 90's here, but right now, those fireworks watchers have been rained on. Then there are the horrors of standing in line at those port-a-potties. Then the masses of people to deal with for parking or traveling on the public subways. I'd much rather be in the comfort of my house.
My YM likes to buy boxes of fireworks in the Georgia every time he drives back from the south. It is more exciting to have the fireworks exploding close by imo.
sheila4pd 07-05-2007, 03:50 AM It svcks to love and be proud of your country and not look like everybody else in it. I am always asked if I am a foreigner. Today I was told I look Aztec. Nothing against the Aztecs but I want to look Panamanian.
RobsGirl 07-05-2007, 11:14 AM Grrrr....we can see the City fireworks display from our front yard. Of course, this means a lot of my friends like to crash on the front lawn to watch - no portopotties, no noise, it's usually pretty nice. Last night, though, different story. I thought we were going to get off without anybody showing up, it was 9:30 and nobody had called. Then, my best friend calls, says she and her bf and her daughter will be coming down. Okay, I was fine with that...but then, she and her bf had an argument before they left so she shows up with the bf's son (who is a danged brat and a half) and the bf's ex-wife, and her daughter....they proceeded to talk incessantly through the show, the son kept running in and out of the house, even after I asked him to stay outside, the daughter broke my front porch light - after I'd asked her to go through the back door (we never use the front porch), the son then proceeded to bring a glass of water out - in one of my good glasses which he promptly broke. Didn't do much for my fireworks viewing experience!!
She's not a very good best friend if she can't keep her kids from running wild and breaking your things. Grrr. Both my YM and I were raised by parents that wouldn't tolerate bad behavior in their kids in private, but especially in public (your house). I hope your friend apologizes to you and offers to pay or make other amends for what was broken.
Last night for me was a quiet night in the house with my dogs. Watched a neat movie called P.S. (YM/OW film). I've also had a longtime paranoia that the night of the 4th would be a great time for thieves to break into peoples houses. And the YM is on a fitness kick, so I sent him off to ride his bicycle downtown and maybe view the fireworks. He actually was less interested in the fireworks and his desire was to hear the orchestra play. He loves classical music. He left around 8pm and got rained on. It turned out that after riding around, he met up with a good friend and they went off in his friend's car to set off some fireworks. I've been on those excursions, but while they are entertaining, afterwards there is some running away from the scene. lol. At 1pm, I got a call requesting me to pick up him and his bike. I was still up, and off I went. I was rewarded with croissants from a 24 hour Italian bakery. Anyway, what was good was that my YM got to have some youthful good time and actually is getting concerned and tired of this friend. This guy is nice, actually older than my YM by a few years, but just doesn't handle life well. So being with guys like that makes my YM more appreciative of my company, which is a good thing, but on the other hand, I'd like my YM to have some good friends that he admires and likes. What else can I say but both of us are intolerant people with high standards.
Chatterbox 07-29-2007, 01:54 PM My Mom had a revelation today.
(Background: I do my dishes by hand. For 3 or 4 days, I do them at least every day, then I begin to slack off, then I end up with dirty dishes piled high in the sink. You can see the sink from my "dining room table" where she sits.)
When I came out from a shower, she looked at me, all authorative like (she's a darling little 92 year old) and proclaimed, "I just thought of something! If you didn't spend so much time on that computer, you could do your dishes!!!"
I laughed and said, "Oh, you just thought of that, did you?"
She cracks me up.
Another time, I was telling her something I had posted in another forum, and I said, "I felt bad that I had to tell him that." and she said, "You didn't HAVE to tell him that."
Smart cookie!

I was going to go watch me some meteors tonight. But it's Florida, and it's summer. So a storm came in and I got caught out in it, and now that I'm finally home, soaking wet and filthy, my power's out. Got to go light some candles and take a shower now. And no meteors for me. *pout*

Whenever there are meteor showers, I am reminded of my former neighbors, Wayne and Ruben. They were a devoted couple that, even after 9 years together, were just crazy about each other. Every meteor shower, they'd pull a mattress out onto the balcony or catwalk and stay there all night talking quietly, laughing softly, giggling, and looking for shooting stars. :)

My fiancé can relate to that Strw, except that my fiancé is full Mexican. But he too is short and light skinned. Not a clue what happened there because when I look at his mom/birth dad's family they're all dark skinned!
When he lived in CA it was no big deal because he was tan all year round and you couldn't tell but now it's obvious.
We went to visit in September and they took us to Mexico to visit. His family kept teasing him for not being dark enough. He took it in stride but admitted that it bothered him how many people commented on how light he was.
But when he tans it's a yummy tan.

ktallett 08-25-2007, 12:43 PM im wondering why my mum has just phoned me to tell me that her boyfriend wont change the bin bag in the rubbish bin and that the bin is nearly overflowing when she could have just changed it herself in about 30 seconds.
Chatterbox 08-25-2007, 12:51 PM im wondering why my mum has just phoned me to tell me that her boyfriend wont change the bin bag in the rubbish bin and that the bin is nearly overflowing when she could have just changed it herself in about 30 seconds.
LOL!!! Have you ever LIVED with someone??? :p (Just Teasing!). Reminds me of an Everybody Loves Raymond (T.V. show) where the husband and wife each REFUSE to carry a suitcase upstairs, leaving it on the landing for 3 weeks; and then the mother/mother-n-law says she has spoon/fort decorations on the wall in her kitchen that she has left there for 40 years out of spite, because her husband wouldn't return them, put them up without her permission, and wouldn't take them down! :)
ktallett 08-25-2007, 03:09 PM haha so true they can be like that at times. there is an update on the bin situation though. they now have worked out that they dont have any new bin bags to replace the old one with so they are also arguing about who should go down the shops to buy some bin bags. 2 phone calls in one day. its the only time i ever hear from my mum is when she has stupid pointless problems.

it's the principle of the thing. harumph harumph harumph
see....i'dve gathered up the bag and then pointed out i did so as a bargaining tool to NOT have to be the one to go get more bags. :bgrin2:
and chatter, you know my eye-pokin' history. damned infuriating.
ktallett 08-25-2007, 05:51 PM thats genius GEG. my mum isnt that clever though. she prefers the stubborn and sulky mood. im not getting this principle idea id prefer to just do it and at least there wouldnt be a row then. i guess thats me though. ill keep everyone updated with the bin bag situation as i recieve news. :D

I got a nano for my bday and it was great for a while. It holds a ton of music (3gigs iirc) buuut Itunes imo is not very user friendly and I have found alternative ways to use WMP for syncing. Want my advice? Compare other brands of mp3 players. Some of them are actually pretty nice and play wma's whereas Ipod will only play mp3. I still find myself backing up all my music files to cd mainly because I have wiped my Ipod a few times accidently or encountered errors that have required me to. In a way it's a love hate thing going on.
p.s. just reminded me my sister got a shuffle last month and I have to go over and show her how to download music to it lol.

Oooooooooooooooooooo, this brings back terrible memories for me! My ex used to enjoy telling stories to lawyers - expensive lawyers--- I could have KILLED him!!!
Chatterbox 10-14-2007, 07:46 AM Great story, GreenEyedGirl! I can picture it!
I thought it was the end of civilization when my stepson got into my music and, instead of yelling, "Turn that crap down!!!" as a parent is supposed to yell, (in the natural order of things), I'd yell, "Hey! Crank that up!"
Chatterbox 10-14-2007, 07:54 AM From the "Appreciate the Little Things" file:
Rushing through the grocery store, seeing row after row of seedless grapes, I grabbed a bag on my way by. Got home, sliced up some Monterey Jack cheese into nice little cubes, washed off the grapes, turned on the puter, popped a grape in my mouth and bit into SEEDS!!!!
Ran to the fridge and grabbed the bag to see that I had bought "seeded" grapes! Seeded grapes, I didn't even know they MADE them anymore!!!!:eek::eek:
I tried to eat them and spit out the seeds, but lawd ahmighty, there were at least two and sometimes 4 seeds in each grape!!! So, as I sat there with a knife, cutting the grapes in half, and a jelly spoon, scraping out the seeds, I thought, "I love seedless grapes. I love the person that invented seedless grapes. I will never take a seedless grape for granted for as long as I live."

From: Miss. Marika Kuku
Abidjan. Cote D'Ivoire West Africa
Dear One,
My warmest greeting to you in the name of the Lord.
I am Marika Kuku, I inheritated an important some from my late father who died in recent crisis in Cote d'Ivoire. I wish to request for your assistance in investing this sum in lucrative venture or manufacturing and real estate management in your country. I have Five million, seven hundred thousand United State Dollars. USD($5,700,000) to invest in this transaction and I will require your assistance in receiving the fund in your account in your country. I will gladly give you some resonable percent from the total sum for your assistance.
Before his death on September 2005, he gave me all the necessary legal documents to the deposit of the fund in the bank, I am 20 years old and a university undergraduate and really don't know what to do. Now I want an account overseas where I can transfer this funds and after the transaction I will come and reside permanently in your country till such a time that it will be convinient for me to return back home if I so desire. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life. I also want to invest the fund under your care because I am ignorant of business world.
I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards. Your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded. Now permit me to ask these few questions:
1. Can you honestly help me from your heart?
2. Can I completely trust you?
3. What percentage of the total amount in question will be good for you after the money is in your account?
Please, consider this and get back to me as soon as possible. Immedaitely I confirm your willingness, I will send to you my picture and also give you more details about myself and the bank were my late father deposited the fund, so that you can reach the bank and confirm the existence of the fund as well, because seeing is believing.
Please always reply me through this my private email: marika_kuku19@yahoo.fr

for security reason.
Awaiting your immediate response and may God bless you.
With love,
Marika Kuku

If we are truly receptive...and truly open to growing and changing as human beings...'refining' who we are, then we can always learn from those with whom we come into contact.
Whether or not those we choose to learn from are older or younger than us is not/should not be a factor.

lynn59 10-27-2007, 11:19 AM DOG
Dog is the designated tail
wagger for all of us
mortals who have no tails.
The purpose of tail wagging
is to make joy visible.
Millions of wagging tails
help keep the air fresh and
in motion,
and the clouds
circulating the earth.
The wagging of all the tails
of all the dogs in the world
could end wars if all of us
would stop arguing
and let our dogs
take us for a walk.
Inherent in dogdom are
extraordrinary instinctive
gifts manifesting not
only in individual dogs
but in their entire species
This divine field of doggy
love shared with us by
a tiny pup for his
entire dog lifetime
reincarnates from
parents to offspring,
expanding through dog
generations.
Fortunate are you if you
love a dog, for that dog
will surely love you.

Those who have been here for quite some time.....remember my trials and tribulations of one "Becky"....that brought me to this site, actually...
They remember that...it was a Long distance relationship...one I had never met and never did end up meeting, but ultimately lasted 2 years.
I was doing a little messing around today..and discovered her old website...she had closed it down but had put an update on it from back in April. Seems that...cheating on me has treated her well. She's married and has a five year old kid...
I mean, don't get me wrong....I'm not bitter. Well, that's a lie. I am, in a sense. But...what gets me? Is that this vapid you-know-what cheated on me, didn't tell me that it was happening for like two friggin' months, led me in for those months...and somehow? SHE is the one with the stable life. Granted, I did a screw-up or two in my life involving relationships...but...eh, I didn't think it was anything sustaining or just anything to warrant the large piles of viscous horse-manure I've shoved in the past year or so.
But...Jesus H. Tap-Dancing Christ...
withmuchgusto 11-07-2007, 01:26 AM Wow how my mind was introduced and the idea could seduce...
Thinking of the the moon...
How beautiful she glows!
Thinking of you...

Aww, Dan, I'm sorry to hear about this bummer. I've not been in exactly the same position, but there have been people in my life who have messed me over and/or live their lives messing other people over, and they still seem to be reaping the rewards, time and time again.
I don't know why but I just have to believe that there is SOME reason to it in the big scheme of things. And/or that at some point, God/The Universe will 'even things out'.
I admit, in some low times, when I think about these people and I'm having a hard time at that point in my life, I wonder what the heck I did in a past life such that they are exceling and I am 'making it through'. And then, even as soon as I think that and even as soon as I wrote that now, I KNOW how wrong that is. And I take a full-circle look, and realize how much I really do have.
You'll be fine, Dan. :)
Our lives go in cycles. Some cycles last for days, sometimes for months, and...sometimes for years.
Our job is to work on our Selves.
Things unfold as they are meant to be. Perhaps she would have made you miserable in the long run. (She certainly hurt you in the short term.) Not that I hear you saying you wish you two were together but her unethical choice may have been a blessing.
You also have no idea how happy she is or how happy her husband is. NOT that we should be putting out bad karma and hoping that they're not happy. It's just that, really, what she has might look good to you from afar...and across the internet is pretty darn far...but you don't know how it looks, up close.
Keep on keepin' on, Dan. :walksmil:

Dan_Shues 11-07-2007, 07:43 PM Don't get me wrong, SG...I mean, I AM happy with most of my life right now. I just recently started seeing a woman, and we seem to get along very well. Ironically, met her off of Craigslist...*lol*
And really? Eh....I mean, I don't wish physical harm on anyone, nor anyone's children. But, to be quite honest? Between her and this last one that went MIA on me? I wouldn't mind a permanent curse on 'em...you know...something like every morning when they go outside their tires are always flat...
Or a permanent inability to achieve orgasm...*lol*
But yeah, I do suppose I should hope she is happy, along with the one that went MIA. Though I will NOT shed a tear if they are among the first to get eaten by our eventual zombie overlords...

sheila4pd 11-24-2007, 03:53 PM My ex father in law died. Although a good provider, he was an abuser, destroyed my ex-husband, planted fights between my ex and I, was racist against me and my son, and ridiculed my ex and his other children in every ocasion. He was rude to my parents. I think that his intentions were to raise tough kids and the best method for that (in his book) was ridicule and beatings. He was so ignorant. tinydancer 11-28-2007, 11:12 PM I posted this on my thread but thought I'd share this with all the ladies here:
I tried this cream I had heard about called Stripeptin that is supposed to make bags under the eyes go away for good after a few weeks of using it.
Well, I have been using it for one week as of today............it WORKS!!!!!
I very rarely get this excited about any skin care stuff, other than Retin A (been using it for about 20 yrs) but this stuff really got rid of those tired looking bags for me.
Try it.....imo, it is worth it!

tinydancer 11-29-2007, 12:05 AM THIS FORMULA IS AMAZING FOR REDUCING PUFFINESS OR BAGS UNDER THE EYES. THIS ONE OZ JAR IS A 30 DAY SUPPLY.
The Amazing Solution for Swollen, Puffy Eyes That Everyone is Talking About!
Puffy eyes are a top concern for anyone who has been under emotional stress or has not had enough sleep. They can also be caused by water retention, excess sodium intake, hormonal changes, allergies, or excessive alcohol consumption. For anyone who deals with puffy eyes more than once or twice a month, it can be very frustrating. Many “home remedies” have been recommended for this condition, but what do you do when it’s not practical to lie down with cucumbers or wet, cold tea bags over your eyes? Those “cures” aren’t enough to help people who suffer with persistent puffiness, swelling, and irritation.
Instead, rely on the new formula developed by leading dermatologists. Its unique, proprietary combination of ingredients works to decrease under-eye swelling. One ingredient calms the inflammation in the delicate peri-orbital blood vessels. Another key ingredient hydrates and soothes irritated skin, and the third important component draws excess water out of swollen tissue.
Stripeptin™ PE is the solution you have looking for, and research proves it! Designed to be applied twice a day (morning and night), its ingredients are formulated specifically to support the area surrounding the eye. Therefore, you should use it everyday to prevent skin from swelling- not just when eyes are puffy. This is what makes Stripeptin™ PE so unique! After all, if you are prone to these problems, you can appreciate that a “quick fix” doesn’t usually work at all, let alone in the long term. You’ll be amazed at the results and even more astonished when you see a more polished and younger looking you!
Dan_Shues 12-05-2007, 08:50 PM Can we PLEASE get a moratorium on phrases like, "I call it as I see it", "I don't sugarcoat....", "I'm a straight shooter"....and phrases of that ilk?
I mean, PLEASE...you say that on the dang internet...
Re-read that...
ON THE INTERNET...
Half of the people that say those phrases, wouldn't have the testicular, or ovaryicular, fortitude to actually say that to a person's face. I mean, seriously...I've seen that on this forum so much. So much in fact, it's kind of like watching Cinemax late night. I mean, after seeing five lesbian pornstars doing things that even the most flexible alien from outspace couldn't do....the latest skin flick they show on Cinemax just doesn't have that great effect on me anymore.
And neither do those phrases...
So lay off...you're not tough and you're not edgy...
You're just lame.
RobsGirl 12-05-2007, 08:53 PM I cracked a tooth a few weeks before T-day and after a root canal they crowned it...tonight, whilst I was minding my own business and eating meatloaf...the crown fell off. Dang dentists!!!
scott2075 12-05-2007, 08:54 PM I know Molly! Dentists suck major!!!!!!!
RobsGirl 12-05-2007, 08:59 PM Man, tomorrow I'm calling her and telling her she's redoing this thing for free - it was a posted crown, those things aren't supposed to fall out (at least not for ten or fifteen years anyway!)! In the meantime, I'm enjoying Tylonol with codene!
I felt very clever today. I went to get cash from an ATM. I stuck my card in the slot, the buzzer sounded, but the door wouldn't open. I tried it a few times, and I didn't feel like finding another ATM location. So I finally used my car key to move aside the door latch while I had my card stuck in the reader.
I go in and get my cash. Meanwhile, in back of me, another woman is trying to get in. I let her in, and now there are two more people wanting to enter. And they were amazed that I got inside as they tried earlier. I explained my trick. One of the other people in line was a mechanic, so I teased him for not figuring out how to open the door. As I left the ATM, I said out loud so the others could here, "I'm good..." :tongue2:
joelstrouble 12-29-2007, 07:42 PM Bump,bump,bump!!!
Chatterbox 12-30-2007, 10:42 AM Whenever it's time to clean my toaster oven, I take a moment to fantasize that, instead of cleaning it, I throw it away and go to the cupboard and get a new one! :D
*sigh* If only.
