No Matter
I've sat here feeling lonely,
for three god awful years
just thinking maybe he'll come round,
and see my stream of tears

through all this fear and chaos,
to God I've always prayed
that life would try an' deal you,
a better deck of cards

It's a funny thing about mistakes
how anytime things don't turn out how you expect
they must have been a mistake
like when you were a kid and you didn't wanna walk the dog
you let 'em out, and well.. that was a mistake,
'cuz they never came back
But, it's not funny when people start using the word flippantly
and sayin' things like it was a mistake
to have gone out with you
or a mistake that you were born
or a mistake that they broke your glasses
even when you wanted a new pair
or a mistake that they married this guy or that girl
cuz then the kid they had feels like they're the mistake
People don't make mistakes. They make choices
and they learn from those choices, good or bad
But it's pretty damn stupid to think every bad learning experience
as just another stupid mistake. Why have regrets?
The only mistake I made was in saying
I made mistakes in the first place...

Thanks Trace... I wrote the first one, originally, after my first X dumped me ~ as a song.

Just haven't ever MADE it a song. Someday, maybe. Should be kinda folky with a bit of country to it, me thinks.. LOL.

Unambitious
I care
Unfortunately
Too much for my own good.

Well, neither of them came out quite right... the spaces on certain lines didn't "stick" for some reason and so it doesn't LOOK right, but reads okay. Odd. How do I get the "spaces" to stick? Like tabbing in?

on a cool summer's night
Fluttering about in my head
stealing my thoughts away
with horrid sounds of my past
You drone there, carefully pecking

Do you still have the one I sent you? If you do you could post it here if you wanted. I lost it after I sent it to you. Have no idea where Mark hid his copya s he tends to hide these things from me. I tend to reread them get embarrassed and throw them out even though I wrote it for him and gave it to him, hence making it his property.
