Waxing Philosophical

Seems many of us have asked ourselves the questions:

what am I doing?
What am I thinking?
Have I lost my mind?

If you are like me, and find yourself thouroughly in love with someone many years younger, you may have wondered what in the universe (or - fill in diety of your choice) had the perverse sense of humor to put this love in my path at this time , with this person?

I have a theory

Perhaps we were not ready - until we had grown this much in our own persons - to accept the kind of love into our lives that we find ourselves experiencing now.

I am a believer that nothing happens without a reason, every thing has purpose, the people who come into our lives are the people that are supposed to be there.

So when you find your heart wrapped around the heart of another and that other is many years younger than you. It may be that, the real answer is you are now ready to accept this special soul into your life and be able to give and receive love in a way that merits this beautiful gift.

Maybe we should question this less and cherish it more.

Rabbit, have you been reading my mind? Everything you said, is exactly how I feel. :)

How could I not thing any of those things in the beginning. But I think that about everything from selecting a new hair product to whether I'm dressing my kids warmly enough.

Generally, I just go with the flow and the little things tend to sort themselves out :)

yes yes yes.... even if you aren't quite ready at first.....once you surrender yourself to this kind of love....you can't help but grow by leaps and bounds as a person.

Sometimes it's so amazing to me.....so profound to realize how perfectly everything in my past led me to this wonderful place of acceptance.

I'm greatful for all of it....now!

Rabbit . . . I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I too had those thoughts in the beginning and, in fact, told Joe back when that sometimes when I would lay in his arms at night, I would think "What am I doing!!!"

But being the believer that I am, I know that we all live by God's plan and we are right where we are supposed to be. And everything happens as it should. Things might not happen as we plan, or in the time frame that we want or even as we want them to happen, but I believe everything happens as it should and we are all right where we are supposed to be at any given moment. (And I don't want to debate the free will thing . . . we have already done that . . . I believe we do have free will . . . and we can exercise that all we want and we will still end up right where we are supposed to be.)
