I have no clue what you're talking about Kristin. Are you talking about a gathering of ageless members? I haven't heard anything about this, but may be interested, depending on when it happens.

Oh, is it a private party? Or, did I miss a thread somewhere about this? :confused:

Well, thanks for clarifying that for those of us who had not read the original discussion. :p

Kimmy and I discussed the Chicago get-together over the telephone. I'm too tired right now to repeat what we discussed, so I'll wait until tomorrow.

I would love to go if it were to be scheduled early next year. But, at this point in the year, I am flat broke. :( Otherwise, I'd say count me in. Maybe next time we schedule another get-together, Remi will finally be here and then he can come, too. (crosses fingers and toes). :p

My schedule is completely open. And as I mentioned in the other thread, Jeremy is taking off 12/23 for his birthday and is off the whole weekend, but he'd need childcare. So, the 23rd would be great. We could go the following weekend, as well!

I am open to Chicago or Indianapolis. Chicago is closer to me than Indianapolis, and I'm familiar with some restaraunts and museums in the area, but it's always a big deal to drive up there because of the traffic. Indianapolis is much farther, but I would have no problem meeting there. Plus, the hotels in Indianapolis are much cheaper. I would suggest scheduling the meeting on a date after the holidays.

You guys are so sweet. I pop on for a gander at the happenings of my friends and I see this thread. I am unable to make it to Chicago for Xmas... I have no seniority at my new company and I cannot get any time off ....


however I have worked it out to where sometime in January I will be able to switch a day with a coworker which means I will be able to leave Portland Tuesday night after work and get it early Wednesday, nap a bit and then stay Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat and go home late Sunday.

I am going to be looking into dates this upcoming week, so if you all wanted to meet before then I totally understand and I will def. hook up with you guys in January.

I really do look forward to seeing you all again, it was fun the first time but now I will be singular in my adventures which just means more fun for me! LoL ;-)

Like Mrs. H said - anything within 3 hrs drive works! I just hope some other ym can come so Jeremy doesn't feel like the lone rooster in the pen of clucking hens! lol

We could be up for a gathering too, but it would have to be after the holidays for us. Not sure January would be enough time for the $ to recover, we shall see.

Although I really like Chicago, it would be too far for us to drive from where we live. Indy is at our 3-hour limit. (But, Chi-town is 3-1/2 hours from my honey's parents' house.) Doing something in the warmer months sounds easier maybe....anyway, just wanted to say that I'm watching the gathering convo to see what could work for us to join up with people.

Maybe we could hold a smaller Ageless meeting in one city and a larger one in another. Just an idea.

well, I just checked MapQuest and they say the trip to Indy for us would be 4 hours and 37 minutes. Thats not so bad! :cool:

LOL! You've just described Milwaukee! I think we have the most awesome city. It's right up there with the larger cities, but it has retained so much of it's old-world character. Plus, we're right on Lake Michegan.

I get so many transferees that I have become a regular embassador for Milwaukee. We aren't as "white bread" or blue collar as "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley" made us seem.

Don't people realize that places change? It's so silly what people from other parts of the country think we are like. People are so surprized at how many amenities we have, how beautiful it is here and how nice the people are!

I wish I could share it with all of you!!
