Hi All:
It's been awhile since I've visited this site and it's great to see so many familiars.

I wanted to let you all know that while the relationship with my previous ym (him 28/me 43) didn't work out, something else--even better and more wonderful did.

My current fellow is 39-- I'm 44. While that barely qualifies as an age gap, he's still younger. He is a truly wonderfully nice man and I am blessed to have found him. We are finding a very solid heart connection for which I'm extremely grateful.

Interestingly, I heard from my previous ym around T-day to invite me over the day after for a family/friends gathering. I didn't go since I had other things to do, but we did agree to have lunch over the holidays.

Bottom line: things really can work out in unexpected ways. I think I will end up being good friends with my former ym and have met my life partner in my current one.

So hang in there all. Happiness is just around the corner if we can hold on!

Happy holidays,
Katie S.

Awesome, Katie!!
So good to hear your news and the encouragement it brings to all of us that everything happens for a reason. Hope and assurance are good things:)
Wow, to have your ex ym as a friend and your current ym as the man of your dreams: you are truly blessed!
Best,
Karen

Thanks, Special K!
I really appreciate your kind words. The break-up with the previous ym was really hard for me. I didn't think I'd ever meet anyone I felt that way about again--of any age.

But I did. And what's so wonderful is what we DON'T have in this current relationship: anxiety, tentativeness, insecurity and emotional walls.

I almost sent him away initially because I couldn't believe he was for real. We've been seeing each other for about three months and it is becoming stronger by the day.

Anyway, we all need hope and encouragement that love can show up when we least expect it.

Happy holidays to you, Special K.
