just want to introduce myself!

I'm soon to be 23 years old, and I'm psyched to have found this board for support... I'm in love with my best friend's brother, who is 18 and 1/2... we have strong feelings for one another and I'm about to initiate a relationship with him... I've never engaged in a relationship with such a wide age gap but I know that we are meant to be together. Honest advice is definitely appreciated, and at the same time don't hesitate to ask me for advice too. thanks!

You know, it's weird, but I can remember being asked out by an 18 yr old when I was about 24, and I told him I couldn't go out with him because people would think I was his babysitter, yet here I am a few years down the road, engaged to someone 18 yrs younger than me.
I can remember how big the gap seemed at that age though, and wish Ageless had been here then!

If the two of you feel a connection, I say go for it. Take it one day at a time and see how things go. Thats what you have to do in any relationship and age gap ones are no different in that respect.

Nessa, the young man I love is a talented musician. He's an exceptional writer and thinker, and wise beyond his years (and the years of many, many older men with whom I have met). He is stubborn and opinionated and funny and shy and kind all at the same time. I love his voice and broad shoulders and smooth long hair... his shape. Since I have known him (going on 7 years) I have felt that he speaks the language of my heart, as corny as it sounds (I can't describe it in any other way). When he's in my prescence I feel a mixture of intense emotions: euphoria, nervousness/excitedness, strong affection, nurture, longing, love---how else to explain it? I love him! There is no other man on earth who I have felt this way for... and I have felt this way for a long time. He's my best friend's younger brother and the three of us commute by car to school together. Yes, my best friend knows and supports my feelings 100%, always has. Everyone does who knows us. His parents love and support me like a second daughter and are aware of my love for their son.
