Does your SO have children?

I know that's a lot of questions! I am curious.

Since we are all in AG relationships, it seems more likely that one of the partners will have children and children really do affect the dynamics of a relationship.

G has 2 kids - age 9 and 12 - 12 yo has profound Down Syndrome, DAS, and Autistic characteristics so his functioning age is significantly younger.

I have a great relationship with the kids and I love them to pieces! :D

We have the kids every weekend and during all of their school breaks - including the entire summer.

When they are here, I have a great time with them, but I also seem to get stuck playing the mom and lately it is *freaking* me out ( for lack of a better phrase).

So much so that at times I just want to call it all quits! But then I can't call it quits because I love them all (G and the boys) so much!

Well 'C' has 4 kids & 1 God-daughter......Their ages are 19, 17, 16, 11 & God- daughter is 19. I am 22 so it was a little difficult to establish any kind of authority with them. But I feel very comfortable with them now......a couple are going off to college soon. We aren't the best of friends, I think the girls still struggle with the age thing at times, but they are very respectful to me. I do play the 'mom' role as far as keeping house and talking to the 11 year old about life and lessons. I have to admit I get a little overwhelmed when they come to visit every other weekend. I guess thats because I'm an only child and have NEVER had to share anything in my life, I've had a very comfortable life, and now I get slammed with sharing with 6 other people! It's like OMG!!!
