Hi Ageless Friends!
I finally got myself a new comp!
My old one was such a dinasaur and I could barely stay online for a few minutes at a time, Sure feels good to be rid of it and have one that actually works!!
I have enjoyed catching up on the threads -- so much has happened with you all and so many new faces here!!
Hard to believe that I have been gone so long, but please know that I have carried you all in my heart during my absence.
Work is busy and so is my home-life, but I will do my best to visit here as often as I can and add to the discussions.
Well, need to run as I have to be to work soon.
I'll check back in with you all this evening.
HUGS to you all!
Sage~

Welcome Back, Sage! So glad to see you here! :)
Thank you all for the warm welcome back!
I can't believe so many months passed during my absence, but life has a way of getting busy and with my comp being so unreliable, it just wasn't worth taking the time to even try to socialize online.
I really missed visiting here and have been reading the posts and doing my best to catch up on all of you.
My kids are all well and my granddaughter, Trinity is now almost 16 months old! She is walking all over the place and exploring her world with much enthusiasm. She is the light in my eyes and I cherish every moment I can spend with her, which I tend to baby-sit at least once a week, giving my daughter and her fiance a break from being "Mommy and Daddy".
My teens are doing well - full of themselves, as teens can be, but nothing too extreme to report. Brianna is 18 now and has stayed sober since her stay in rehab. She is working part time and doing well in school. I am very proud of her commitment to remain sober.
My son Lucas is 17 now and giving me a little bit of grief. He has ditched a few classes and isn't giving it his 'all' when it comes to his school work. He was working up until after the holidays and is presently looking for another job. I have had to get rather strict with him and as much as he doesn't like it, he is not fighting me too hard in getting his school work done and no more playing hooky!! Every one of my kids decided that school was a big bore as soon as they hit their junior year. They think they know it all and don't need to buckle down with their school work. Very frustrating time for me to say the least.
My mother's health is fragile and I have had to take a good amount of time off from my job to travel to Oregon and care for her and oversee her affairs. I found a great woman that now gives her in-home care and that is a God send for my mother and me. She is a retired nurse and my mother likes her very much.
I got rather ill over the holidays and it took me a long time to recover. It started out as the sniffles and ended up as walking pneumonia. I couldn't even get out of bed for Christmas or my birthday, (12/24). By New Year's I was feeling a bit better, was able to stand up and walk at least , and we had our family Christmas then.
I lost 20 pounds and was out of work for 3 weeks. My DR. was just about ready to admit me to the hospital when I started to improve - thank goodness.
I am feeling fine these days and Seattle is having an exceptionally nice winter - the days are filled with sunshine, but the nights are bitter cold.
Getting my new computer is sure a bright spot for me and I am thrilled to be able to take up where I left off with my online friendships.
I'm not seeing anyone, (as in a romantic interest), and I am good with that. Work is busy, as usual, and time to hang out with friends is always limited. Seems when I get off work, I just want to sit down..lol.
When I do have time off of work, I have been getting some quilting done that I started and also working on my writing, (which is another reason I am thrilled to have this new comp!)
I guess I have rambled on enough.
Thanks again for the kind and generous welcome back.
ls wonderful to be here!
