But, here are a few others I haven't seen in a while that I loved as a child, no matter how cheesy they were: Lost In Space My Mother the Car (very stupid show, but for some reason I loved it) Car 54 Where are You? The Real McCoys The Outer Limits (There was a new version a few years ago, but I'm talking about the old version....ooooo, scary) Here Come the Brides Maya Oh well, I know there are others. But, thankfully, some of my very favorites have lived on in tv reruns: The Andy Griffith Show The Dick Van Dyke Show I Love Lucy Bewitched The Addams Family The Munsters raven444 02-21-2005, 12:39 PM Deanna Troi on STTNG. I too loved the old black and white and in fact at the Dollar Store got dvd's with 3 episodes of my tween years: Make Room for Daddy, Topper, Perry Mason and Ozzie and Harriet. Now those WERE funny! And later on I loved the dectectives: Mannix, Rockford Files, Hawaii Five- O, Cannon and Magnum PI. Fast forward: I would love to see MaGyver and more A team as well (as "I love it when a plan comes together",as I tell my students when all my ramblings and curriculum tie together, but who, unfortunately, miss the allusion totally!). Thinkers RULE!! MerAlove23 02-21-2005, 03:39 PM I loved Three's company!!! babes66 02-21-2005, 03:42 PM Originally posted by raven444 good question. i know she had good boobs and legs if that counts. LOL, it definately wasn't me then, I have great legs, but no boobs to speak of! Linda, The "A" team shows on reruns here, and my son even has a BA Baracus T-shirt, they are very trendy over here again! ( Mind you, he also has a Starsky and Hutch T shirt, so maybe its a "retro" thang! Does anyone from the UK remember Mary, Mungo and Midge? Or Mr. Benn? Oh, and The Banana Split's, I loved them! raven444 02-21-2005, 03:50 PM the only uk show i know of is 'are you being served?' i told a scottish friend of mine that once and she seemed somewhat dismayed by it. she loves this show 'father ted' which i have also never seen. suicideblonde 02-21-2005, 03:52 PM I forgot one!!!! My alllll time fav ; Moonlighting! And Lynne, that is great about the re-runs... they may have them here too, but since I do not have cable (it is against my principles) I am not sure if they are on here as well. I had crushes on both Bo and Luke. And I wanted to be just like Daisy. LOL fos4snt 02-21-2005, 04:52 PM I never liked MacGuyver, but I am an avid Stargate SG-1 fan... and something about Richard Dean Anderson as he's aged. I really love him as Col. O'Neill: http://rdanderson.com/stargate/stargate.htm Actually, I think I have a crush on ALL of them... My BAD! Samantha, Dr. Jackson, Teal'C. It was on at 4 pm every day at my house. I raced home from school to watch it. I'll add more to my list: The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour Laugh-In Carol Burnett American Bandstand greeneyedgirl 02-22-2005, 11:58 AM Dark Shadows used to come on scifi channel, it was so neat to see the screw ups with lighting and mic's and camera angles. def. 'good old' tv i loved it remember the remake they started back in the ...what late 80's early 90's ? didn't like it as much, wasn't as spooky __________________ i put this originally in the wrong dang thread was havin a 'pretty' moment :p :D Opie 02-22-2005, 02:03 PM Originally posted by CabinFever Also, does anyone remember Night Rider? I was only maybe 5 at the time - all I can remember is the talking car! I remember Knight Rider! That was a good show. I even remember how some things used to change on KITT over the seasons. I wouldn't mind seeing it again though. Personally I wish they would bring back Pinky and the Brain. I loved that show. ~Guinavere~ 02-22-2005, 05:10 PM I loved the Smother's Brothers!! They were so political in their comedy!! Remember Steve Martin on there all the time playing his banjo? He was so funny, and always a guest! Chad Stieger 02-22-2005, 08:14 PM Dark Shadows used to come on Scifi channel, (R)emember the remake they started back in the...what late 80's early 90's? There was a remake the NBC did in the early 1990's. Some member of the "Collons?" family traveled back in time to the 1750's and got sentenced for being a witch because of her 1990's laundry symbols. "She is a witch. These symbols are the witch's spells. Dry clean only, Tumble dry." I laughed so hard at that scene. So remember kids should you find yourself in the 1750's and someone asks what your clothes mean just say "I don't know, I'm not a witch.":D I haven't watched the Dark Shadow's remake since. that moment. Because of the ridiculousness of that laundry witch trial. willfreund 02-24-2005, 01:21 AM Same here I liked the Twilight zone and Outerlimits and wouldnt mind them back. I know they were scifi but they where something more. I guess maybe the first soap opera, or maybe something with thought into it that was amusing and different foxyeyes 02-24-2005, 09:19 AM Count me in as another Twilight Zone fan. I also enjoyed the RED EYE theatre and Tales from the Crypt......for someone that doesn't really enjoy scarey movies now i sure did like those back then. I also loved watching Fantasy Island.."daplane,daplane..":D, The Love Boat, I dream of Jeannie and Bewitched..( I must have had been in a fantasy phase of my life hey..lol) When I was much younger my favs were Rin Tin Tin and Lassie InTheseArms 02-24-2005, 11:22 AM Charles In Charge ! - they don't even show reruns or have a dvd for this show |
