Anyone have a favorite show as a kid ,they want to see returned to the air?

As in TV shows....hummmm Cybil.As in Cybil Sheppard's show.Was very upset when they took it off the air.
Even called the local tv station and complained.
Btw....OMG Ms.Sheppard is moocho HOT!!

A lot of the old shows I love are on either Nick at Nite on Nickelodeon or on TV Land here in the US. But, here are a few others I haven't seen in a while that I loved as a child, no matter how cheesy they were:

My Mother the Car (very stupid show, but for some reason I loved it)

The Outer Limits (There was a new version a few years ago, but I'm talking about the old version....ooooo, scary)

that once again that the term "oldies" is relative!

I too loved the old black and white and in fact at the Dollar Store got dvd's with 3 episodes of my tween years: Make Room for Daddy, Topper, Perry Mason and Ozzie and Harriet. Now those WERE funny! And later on I loved the dectectives: Mannix, Rockford Files, Hawaii Five- O, Cannon and Magnum PI.

Fast forward: I would love to see MaGyver and more A team as well (as "I love it when a plan comes together",as I tell my students when all my ramblings and curriculum tie together, but who, unfortunately, miss the allusion totally!). Thinkers RULE!!

Linda, The "A" team shows on reruns here, and my son even has a BA Baracus T-shirt, they are very trendy over here again! ( Mind you, he also has a Starsky and Hutch T shirt, so maybe its a "retro" thang!

the only uk show i know of is 'are you being served?' i told a scottish friend of mine that once and she seemed somewhat dismayed by it. she loves this show 'father ted' which i have also never seen.

I forgot one!!!! My alllll time fav ; Moonlighting!

And Lynne, that is great about the re-runs... they may have them here too, but since I do not have cable (it is against my principles) I am not sure if they are on here as well. BUT my son's grew up with that show and I think they even had the dang dolls!

I loved the A-team and MacyGyver too! Also, does anyone remember Night Rider? I was only maybe 5 at the time - all I can remember is the talking car! My all time favourite show though is still Dukes of Hazard. Must be the redneck in me, but I love that show!! I had crushes on both Bo and Luke. And I wanted to be just like Daisy. LOL

I never liked MacGuyver, but I am an avid Stargate SG-1 fan... and something about Richard Dean Anderson as he's aged. I really love him as Col. O'Neill:

Oooh, I LOVED Dark Shadows! It was on at 4 pm every day at my house. I raced home from school to watch it.

There was a remake the NBC did in the early 1990's. Some member of the "Collons?" family traveled back in time to the 1750's and got sentenced for being a witch because of her 1990's laundry symbols.
"She is a witch. These symbols are the witch's spells. Dry clean only, Tumble dry." I laughed so hard at that scene. So remember kids should you find yourself in the 1750's and someone asks what your clothes mean just say "I don't know, I'm not a witch.":D
I haven't watched the Dark Shadow's remake since. that moment.
Because of the ridiculousness of that laundry witch trial.

Same here I liked the Twilight zone and Outerlimits and wouldnt mind them back. I know they were scifi but they where something more. I guess maybe the first soap opera, or maybe something with thought into it that was amusing and different

Count me in as another Twilight Zone fan. I also enjoyed the RED EYE theatre and Tales from the Crypt......for someone that doesn't really enjoy scarey movies now i sure did like those back then.

I also loved watching Fantasy Island.."daplane,daplane..":D, The Love Boat, I dream of Jeannie and Bewitched..( I must have had been in a fantasy phase of my life hey..lol)


When I was much younger my favs were Rin Tin Tin and Lassie

Charles In Charge ! - they don't even show reruns or have a dvd for this show
