Took the day off..

This morning me and my y/m woke up and was getting prepared to go to work. But the weather here has been so nice we started talking about what we would do if we didnt have to go to work today. That conversation lead us both into saying lets not go into work today.
Before I knew it we both were calling into work. This is something that we hadnt done in months.....I do mean months. It was like we were playing hookie from school.
We got dressed, in shorts, let the top down in the car and went and had breakfast.
After breakfast we walked the mall and did a little shopping. Hand in hand.
Then we went to a new resort in town and had sipped drinks by the pool.
We took a long stroll around the grounds and took in the sights.
We actually smelled the roses :)

This was the most relaxing day that we've had in a while.

Sad part is that it had to end. :(

So my question to you is......When was the last time you took the day off and what did you do ?????

I was off yesterday due to President's Day and cleaned out drawers in my bedroom.

I am off today and tomorrow and will be finishing cleaning up the mess in my room and will start on my daughter's room. I plan on taking a car load of stuff to Goodwill. ;)

Then, if I have time before returning to work on Thursday, I must begin painting my hallway and spare bedroom. I have a feeling I won't get started on that until Saturday.

I've got so much to do to prepare this house for Remi's arrival. I have been such a procrastinator for far too long and feel like I'm now running out of time. :(

YIKES

At least Remi has 5 empty drawers and half a closet for his belongings.

Today was my schedualed day off....but, I got a call this morning that I let my answering machine take...it was my boss, asking me to call her...so, I went back to sleep, and called two hours later;)
she had found someone to come in, but I had a sense of guilt that I did not obligate myself to my job on such a lovely day..I did the opposite of Miss B...I stayed indoors in the dark , sitting at my desk reading post...I wasted the whole day doing nothing productive, just because I felt like in someway, I failed my manager when she needed help:(
Oh well, I am going to putt-putt mini golf with my son after school lets out, I am pretty sure I will get over it:D
