I thought I had obstacles in my way

New here! Wanted to introduce myself.

I have two problems with my new love. First, there is a 6 year age gap between us- so I was hesitant to get involved with him because of it.

Second, we have never met in person. Although we have emailed, talked via the phone, and written countless letters to each other.

Yet I still care for him so much and feel he is possibly my soul mate. I have never been in this situation before- and kind of thought I was the only one.

Now I see that so many of you have 13+ years difference- WOW! And many of you live thousands of miles apart!

Just curious, and maybe I misunderstood, but are you also in a long distance relationship?

I'm in Canada and my guy is in Germany, we've only been able to spend 15 days together so far. I'm in one of those 13 year age gaps you mentioned :)
