What A Great Site!

Hello All,

I found this site earlier today and haven't been able to stop reading all the wonderful posts!

About Me:

I am a 40-year-old male who has been struggling with many issues in my mind concerning YW/OM. I have always been guessed at 8 to 10 years younger than I am...good genes, good health practices it guess. I live in a rural area in the heartland and it is very hard at my age to find compatible women, ergo when I do date, it is usually YW.

I really began questioning this practice a little over a year ago when I met who I thought was "the one" for me. She was 16 yrs. my junior. Unfortunately, I believe I was a temporary backboard for a recent divorce rebound. It really tore me up! I have not date since but lately have been thinking about getting back into the jungle.

I am not interested in anyone special, just trying to find a place to meet great people. Again, around here, the only places to do that consist of 90% younger people. I have no problem dating a younger person. My only fear at this point is the possibility of meeting a YW who is just looking for some "fun". I don't want that. I enjoy my life and am at the point where I want to share it with a soul-mate.

Many questions running through my mind have been answered here. A very uplifting experience! I feel a lot better about my situation now.

I chose my username for this chat forum because, like Frank Sinatra, I have always tended to go against the "traditional grain". I hate stereotyping and believe we live this life once. We have to make the best of it. My friends and family say I am too picky. I say I will not settle for anything just because that's what I'm supposed to do.

Some friends ask "when will you get married, when your 60? I say, "if that's what it takes".

I have added this site to my favorites and will be visiting to read new posts and see how it is going for all.

Thanks to whomever created this brilliant site!

Hi Doing_It_My_Way! Glad you found the site. A lot of what you described sounds like my BF. He was single for a long time because he wasn't finding the right one...so hang in there, it can/does happen.

Hello and welcome to Ageless. :) And I agree with you on the finding your soulmate. I am a young woman but I definitely am not looking for just fun although fun is good. I am also looking for that forever thing as I feel I am also at that point in my life. lol Someday I know we will both find what we are looking for. :)
