Changing OS

Hi Dan,

Maybe you remember that we were ordering some new stuff for my computer, RAM, motherboard, video card and a new OS. Well, we've done the ordering and it's on its way!!! Yes!

My question is, since I am changing the OS from ME to XP should we reformat first, which is what I figured on, or just install the new XP over ME?

How can I forget? *LOL* *smiles*

Reformat first...

I almost never recommend upgrading. There are two many little files that remain that can conflict. Especially with all new hardware, it's good to start anew by a total reformat and fresh install. Also, that way...any kind of spyware and viruses that may be present on your system, will get wiped out....

And you'll be left with a fresh hard drive to install a brand spanking new OS to...and hopefully, that will compliment your new system and will showcase it's true powers off!

Alrighty then! Well, hopefully by this time tomorrow it'll be all done. I can't hardly wait! I'll let you know how it goes.

Thank you Dan!! As usual, you give great advice! :)
