To Everyone out there who is a Mom.... You can be a new mom,old mom,step-mom,a daddy-mom,A mom by choice or a mom who was chosen..Whichever Mom you are
May you have a wonderful day filled with Love and Joy! :D

Happy Mother's Day to each and everyone ......may your day be filled with much love and laughter with your children.....may your heart be blessed to know that each one of your children are a gift from God.....and may each of you be blessed with a wonderful day spent with your own mothers in making them smile and embracing them in your own arms and telling them how much you love them!!

and to those like me whose mom has gone home to be with the Lord.....this poem is for all of you....


REMEMBRANCE

I see your smile in the brightness of the summer sun.

A gentle breeze is the touch of your hand on mine.

A wave breaks softly on the shore,

and I hear you whisper,

"Remember me."


A winged bird begins it flight into the distant sky.

The sound of children's laughter fills the air.

The evening stars become your eyes,

and I reply---

"You are ever near."

Mother's Day is not celebrated on the same day in every country, Grindstone. It's Mother's Day in the U.S. today though.

Maybe in Norway thats when mother's day is but IN the US today is our day ;)

Yes, I have read some on it now ;) It was a tradition that the american soilders in the first world war left behind, in Norway & Sweden we chose different dates then the US version. The english had a version of this from 1600, but it is the memorial founded by Anna Jarvis that is now known as Mothers Day :)

DH and kids are getting their ducks in a row, showers etc. for Mom's Day out :D (they announced that we are all going out, but that it's a surprise, and it's taking THEM forever to get ready...LOL.) I'm not great at waiting, so I thought I'd sign in, say Happy Mom's Day to everyone, and check out a couple of threads...foot just tappinn' away... :o lol.
