Summer Plans

I just wanted to see what everyones summer plans were? Are there any people going camping or just leaving the state they are in? I am hoping that my OM and I can go camping for a few days to get a few things back in order. He wants to go up into the mountains for a few days and sleep under the stars. I dont mind as long as there are no spiders.

Well, Litical, the kids and I will be heading back to Kitty Hawk for a week in August when my folks are on their annual sojourn to Saratoga for their anniversary! (Forty THREE freakin' years people!!!) I'm off with the kids to Cancun in... OMG... TWO days. :eek: Holy Cow... I'm not ready for a week without my sweetie. Haven't spent more than 2 days away from him since we started dating 1.5 years ago! YIKES. But, they say absence makes the heart grow fonder! *crosses fingers and winks*

Camping sounds like a lot of fun, darkdixie. I wish I wasn't so allergic to poison ivy. Bugs are bad enough. But there is something to be said about kicking back and staring up at at the stars! *deep sigh*

I looooove looking at the stars at night too!!! Camping is so nice, but the bugs really creep me out!!! And I do have issues with being dirty....LOL

Well, this summer will be a whole lotta working for me (as usual)....we are going to a couple concerts in town: Tony Bennett, Gipsy Kings, and Ottmar Liebert!!! So exciting!! In September I am hoping to take a couple weeks off with my honey and head off to Europe; we have never been there. :-) Our destinations will be Italy (of course!!), Spain, and Paris!!!
I was hoping to make it to New York sometime, but not this year. :-)

Since we're relocating at the end of the summer, most of our money is tied up in moving expenses and rental costs. I will be starting graduate school in the fall, so most of my money is tied into getting ready for that... :( . However, you don't need to go somewhere nice to have a vacation...just the usual family cookouts and trip to his family land (most of his family has houses on the land) for a barn fire. Oh, I will put in as much nephew time with my boys before I move to Michigan. I hope to go to Toronto sometime in September for my birthday though.

I will be in school through the summer (which is fine) and we are going to have G's two boys all summer.

G and I are going to try to take a trip at the end of August . . . maybe Peru?
But even if we don't go anywhere, Chicago has great summer festivals which I always look foward to.

YES!!! I loooooove Ottmar, his music is AMAZING!!! And the Gypsy Kings too??!!! Wow!!!! Usually nobody knows my kind of music! :-) I just saw Laura Pausini in concert in L.A. she is the epidome of sophistication and she has the most beautiful voice, she sings most of the time in Spanish, but also sings in Italian (she is Italian) and Portuguese!! A little English too, but English does not do her justice!!

You will have an awsome time in South America!! We went to Chile and had a blast!!!

Stephy and I are going to be pretty busy this summer.

- She is currently in school studying to be a dental assistant.

- I am making preparations to retire from the Navy and start a new job.

We will find time to go to the beach, catch a movie or two...but overall we will be busy!

I have absolutely NO plans LOL.... You know couple of bday parties here and there... a baby shower.. other than that? NOTHING work and spend time with my baby...

I am going to New York in July. I have never been there. I am really excited!!! I am also going to Los Angeles in August to visit family and while I am there I am going to go to Disneyland.

Working ofcourse....Im planning on joining a gym (if I can afford it) very soon.
In August I have a week off and plan to spend it in NH and ME with my son and his best friend.
The most recent summer-fun thing I am looking forward to is my boyfriend coming home for 4th of July weekend. Six more weeks!

Congrats Calybo... I didn't realize you graduated this year! you must be so thrilled!!

Well I’ll be in school for the summer and working. I’m thinking about going to the zoo with my SO since he has never been to a zoo before. And for the last week of summer I’m finally going to meet B’s family. I’m excited and a little scared, only because I think I’m going have one of my many klutz attacks and fall flat on my face the moment I met B’s sister at the airport. All in all I’m looking forward to this summer.
