kittylane 06-09-2005, 05:01 AM hi, well this june 19 i will be married one year. for those of you who dont know my story i am married to a soldier deployed to afghanistan, he has had some really rough days and i pray that this deployment will end quickly. he is scheduled in afghan till feb 06.
adam was insistant that he wanted to be here for our first anniversary and it is happening. he is arriving on june 19. we will need to buy some clothes as he has no personal belongings in afghan.
he will be home for two weeks. you guys probably wont hear from me at that time.
its terribly exciting and scary... scary cause he has to go back. exciting because i have not seen him since january 3. i have cancelled all work, these two weeks will be my gift to him to remind of him of all he has to come home too. we are going to do everything and anything he wants.
please keep him in your prayers... yep, we are hitting the one year mark!!!! its gonna be tough when he goes back, and i will be back on the boards with my shaky legs and bruised heart, marking the days till he is out of danger.

maybe i wont show him this thread. white rose, say something inspiring..... the rest of you, i love you all but i am scared.
the next 8 months will be the longest of my life, i am not so strong.... i b.s.'d myself the first few months until i realized my love could have been killed already in the situations that he has been in. i am nothing like a brave person, i want this over.... i want this over. i would stay in a long distance relationship for the next year and half (time left in the military) and not hear a word from him if he were back on safe ground...
when i got married last year this time, i was in similiar mindset and i let myself spin a bit. the thing about me as much as i can hear good sence, it does not always set in, thats why i ask for your prayers.... please. i love him.
thanks guys, its an emotional time for me. if any of you would meet him you would understand why i love him so, he is just such a nice guy and he love me so much. i wish for all my ageless sisters to find a guy who love them like my adam loves me. take care all, rina

Aww Rina, I know how much you love him..and he loves you and theirs nothing like that kind of love...I think of the two of you often and know how hard this must be for you...I hope and pray that all will be ok for you and please keep us posted as to how everything is going. It's easy to think the worst...try to stay busy and think positive thoughts...and realize that it's not in your control...and turn it over.....to God (or to the higher power of your choice)..sometimes in life...that's all we can do.
