MMmmmmmm.....yummy cake! Thanks Whiterose and Ageless. It is wonderful to have a place where we all can share so many experiences and some tips on what works and understand our relationships better!

I have a wierd schedule being a 3rd shift worker, but the day has gotten off to a wonderful start. My kids suprised me with new curtains for the kitchen and a new front door lamp.

They and my grandkids live with me while son is recooperating from a major disability and they show their appreciation in so many ways. That's the best gift of all. We're family and there for each other!

Incidently, birthdays are relatively new for me as I was raised in a religion that did not celebrate. Took a little getting used to having any fuss made. But, I've acommodated nicely! LOL

Thanks again for the good wishes! I love this place!

Aw, that's sad. Everyone deserves to have their birthday acknolewdged. Was this by any chance the jahova's witness religion(sp?) My friend followed that religion and i think in that religion they didn't celebrate birthdays.

Practically born into it and a member many years, till I began to do some independent research. A reall no-no. LOL

Anyway, for some it makes for happiness and something to look forward to. But once I saw that it did not represent the bible as I'd believed, I left. Hard to adjust to "normal" though, but all is pretty good now!
