If you could have someone narrate your life, who would that be?
For me, Morgan Freeman or Kevin Costner.

Robert Duvall for those slow intimate times...
And for the other times? Anyone that knows me, knows this comes as no great shock but...George Carlin!

What a fun thread! Okay, I had to spend some time to think about this and I came up with the conclusion that it would have to be a female voice if my biography was to be narrated in the first person. Then, I thought, well, that would be the same person whom I would choose to play me in a biographical movie. This was tough as I thought of different movie stars who had aspects of me not only in the roles they play but in their personal life as well. It wasn't easy, but, I'm going to have to go with Meryl Streep, but, Susan Sarandon was a close second.

Tom Waits, smashed out of his gord. (my other answer would have been Hunter Thompson, but the chances of that happening seem slim as of late)

actually my daughter, i would like to see how i influenced her life and from her i would really know my failures and triumphs.

its funny, i have overheard her talk of me to others and i have been amazed, maybe because an hour before she could have been in a major whiney situation and bugging me to tell her what she WANTS to hear, not necessarily the truth.

she speaks highly of me and i like that

This is an AWESOME thread, what a great concept!

I think I'd go for Jerry Seinfeld... I think that he'd add a lot to the narration :p . My life would automatically become funnier!

Maybe Burl Ives would be a good choice too... A very cozy voice.

My YM, Corey...I love his voice and I would know that my life would be narrated with the most love and feeling coming from him.

Because when she talks about you in that sultry voice of hers, she makes you sound like you are the next best thing that's come to this world. And although I know of no family member born into slavery, she has a way of getting you to see it, feel it, walk away from it and still make you worthy to walk with angels.

"Still I Rise"

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

I think I would like to have Johnny Depp because you never know what charater he will be in when he narrates.

Robin Williams: for the truly hilarious and often embarrasing moments.

Angela basset: for all the moments that i faced drama and remained standing. Each growing strong

Ellen Degeneres: for all the moments in between. :)

So many women here picked older men to narrate! Skatergirl, you just don't look you would sound like Morgan Freeman. I adore Morgan Freeman but his voice just doesn't give me a Sk8tergirl kind of vibe.

I'd go for a woman who is somewhat close to my generation with no foreign accent. Sarandon came to my mind first, too - she's from NJ so she has the right dialect. So is Streep, although I could be a Polish immigrant and she'd still be a good choice.

She's got such a great voice, doesn't fit me. What happened to her, she could be on that list of women over 60 thread.

Kathy, I did like it. But remember, it is a documentary. No humans, just cute, adorable Penguins and Morgan's great voice!
