How do I stop him????
OMG I think my son thinks he's a tiger or something... Sometimes he just runs over to me laughs and bites me and then when I keep saying NO honey do nice to mommy no biting..... and I continue this action daily....I know it's not that easy LOL but I keep the repetivness of when he does it I just say NO biting and I take his head away.... and again say it and again... IS there anything else I should do... SOmeone told me I should lightly bite back but I am not sure thats the way either...
HELP@!

I think Trish is probably right that he'll outgrow it.
I have to confess that I bit my son back (not hard). It was one of the very few times that I could see that kind of "punishment" fitting the transgression (it's more of a lesson than punishment). Of course, I explained that I was showing him how it hurt. He had no concept of the pain he was causing until then. But he didn't bite anymore after that!

I agree with Trish. It's a phase they go through. And he may be getting new teeth. I think they get some molars at one year??
Anyway, all I ever did was say NO really loudly and eventually mine got the idea that biting was not allowed.

Here are some nice google links I found for problem biters...
http://www.daycareindex.com/biting.asp
http://www.ehow.com/how_5913_stop-children-biting.html
BUT, I think just being CONSISTENT and FIRM in your "NO" response is best. Do not laugh. Do not reward him. Just stay CONSISTENT.
Also, like one of these sites (ehow) mentions, it could be because he is teething. Keep icy teether rings handy, use baby oragel, whatever it takes to keep his lil mouth occupied.
I don't think the first link is nearly as helpful as the second, because he's NOT an older toddler doing this... he's still a weeeee little one. ;)
Good luck, Mer. This is a very normal stage. But, ummm... yeah. Biting back might turn it into a GAME for him. I wouldn't go there.

I didnot read the links but the way I stopped it with my granddaughter was to immediately say NO and put her down and ignore her for a minute or two. It worked in short order. :)
