... and one reply!
You are absolutely right. When this section first opened up, I was in here a lot, and there was a good amount of activity, but it seems to have just trailed off.
I am as much to blame as anyone, as I havn't posted over here in quite some time. Having been a part of the problem, I would like to be part of the solution.
I guess one question is how people define long term. In the who are our long termer's thread, a lot of people responded, and most were at about the same length of time my lady and I are (roughly two years), though some are longer, some are shorter. I hope that the reason for the dropoff hasn't been an end to some of these long term relationships. Also, I have noticed a huge number of people missing. What's up with that?
I know for myself, our relationship has been going great, so I haven't posted as much. I think that that may, in fact be the key. People tend to post less when they have encountered rough seas. Smooth sailing brings about fewer posts because people need less support when things are going well. Perhaps the remedy is to start posting about our peaks instead of just our vallies.

Well, the last time I posted over here there became a debate about what constituted LONG TERM ~ and I felt... well... honestly? Belittled!
I've been with Litical over 1.5 years and living together 1 year and 3 months now. While it's not 5 years or 10 years or 20 years... its still long term for me.
So, maybe defining long term in a more lenient fashion would get more regulars to post here.. cuz maybe they felt like I do. A year isn't "long" enough???
Meh. Dunno what to tell you!

I've been with Alec now for 7 months as of tomorrow....thats pretty long term for me!

I think that the Long term Relationship section should be as much about fostering long term relationships as it is about supporting existing ones.
The first time I posted in Long term relationships, I think my lady and I had been going out for about a year to a year and a half. Not as long as some, but quite long in my oppinion.
Just my thoughts.
