I am new also and I am excited to see I'm not the only older woman out there with a younger guy. It seems like older man/younger woman is more socially acceptable and I was curious as to if there were others out there like me :)

Di I also just found site. While most will look at OM/YW as the usual mid-life, ours is not. I think the site will just help with shared discussion. She is all for us and what we can explore about future issues. :)

Ohmigosh! Just read Beldara's post where she says older man/younger woman relationships seem more socially acceptable. Wow! I guess reality truly is defined through the eye of the beholder, as I see it as totally the opposite. I was amazed at "society's" response to the recent marriage of the female schoolteacher to the younger man she had served 7 years in prison for. It was just so overwhelmingly positive and supportive! Not that it shouldn't have been, but never, ever, ever would it have been that way if the older person had been male! Also, for the past few years, tv talk shows and magazines have just been buzzing about the "new" movement of ow dating ym. Anyway, I jjust joined this site recently, am still happy to have found it, but hope maybe some more om/yw people will come out of the shadows and start posting.
