I Spy

I loved the show when it was on, it was witty, sharp, intresting and action packed so I had hopes for the movie.

Well, while it had some good bits, it fell far short of the tv series.

It wasn't until after the movie that I realized that while Eddie Murphy is holding his age very well....he was basically playing the same character as the ***........ooops, sorry.....donkey as in Shrek, so his acting hasn't improved.

It's a fun movie for a maintee, but I wouldn't want to pay full price for it, and you won't be hurt by waiting for it on video.

I saw this retread of the old Bill Cosby series. It sucked as bad as Murphy's last dud, Pluto Nash.

Nowadays, Murphy's best roles have either been voice (Donkey) or in latex costumes (The Klumps). He used to be very funny, so what went wrong?

Well.. as is frequently the case... I'm an oddball. I enjoy most of Eddie Murphy stuff, even the B movies. LOL. And I love his voice overs and while.. I wouldn't go out to a threatre and spend money on one of them (I RARELY think anything is worthy of THAT expense! Sheesh...), I enjoy them once they get to cable and still find his humor hilarious.

Just me, though. ;)
