Confused!

I am 22 and have met a man who is 40. we get on very well together and have fallen in love. Although I am sure about him, i am still confused about the age gap and what effect it will have on our relationship, although sayin this we really want to be together. And I know i shouldn't, but i worry about what other people think of us- my family and friends etc and i think, for me, this is the main problem. I really love this man, but i dont want people to look down on me because of being with an older man. I know a lot of people will ask why i am with him and not with someone my own age. HELP!!!

welcome to Ageless!!

first thing you gotta ask yourself....what's more important in the grand scheme of things? the love and companionship of a good man whom you love or the opinions of people who have their own lives to worry about?

second thing you gotta ask yourself: should i wear blue or pink today?

both questions should be super easy to answer ;)

don't sweat it gal. if friends and family truly love you then they want you happy and age is irrelevant.

good luck!

Hi there - welcome to ageless!!!

I can understand how you feel - it can be tough to be confident about something you know others that you care about are going to judge you on. But, it's not all that bad - just seems like it at first!

There's some great couples here that have super strong relationships, and they'll tell you that if you are confident and exude the love you feel for your OM, people will get it. Just don't make a big deal about the age gap, and others will follow suit.

Good luck!
