I've been lurking here for a few days and have really enjoyed the site.
I'm in an OW/YM relationship (13...almost 14 years apart) that is also a LDR. It's been difficult at times, but we love each other very much and hope to one day be together when we are both ready.
I've had my challenges with the idea of being the older woman, but overall I can say I am happier now with him than I've ever been with anyone, so the AG thing just isn't as important to me as this happiness is. We've been dating for almost a year, but were friends for over a year prior to that.
I'm thrilled to find a place where those of us who are OW with YM can talk and support each other.

To answer your question, I just turned 45 and he is 31. My ex is almost 6 years older than me and in the past I dated mainly older men with the exception of one other younger man.
My YM is very mature for his age and we really don't feel the age gap very often between us because we have so much in common. But, I won't say we haven't had our share of conversations about the age gap, because we have. We've concluded that the important thing is we make each other very, very happy so we are willing to forgo "convention" and see where this love takes us. The hardest thing for us has been the LDR, we only get to see each other about every 8 weeks or so for a week to 10 days at a time. If we can survive the LDR, I think the age gap won't be nearly as hard to deal with as that has been!

At 31, he could almost post on the OM/YW side! ;)
And you can be in "Club 13" (see keychain.) It seems 13 year gaps, in various age groups, are the most common around here!
My bf is 24 and I'll be 38...tomorrow! We've been together 14 months and live together with our respective kids.
We'd love to have your imput - and your man's, as well!
