Just A Quick Hello!

Hello there, and greetings from sunny (although sometimes TOO sunny) Florida!
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sarah and I'm 23 and my boyfriend of four years will be 34 in a month. I'm really glad I found a place where I can share my thoughts and feelings with those who are also in an age gap realtionship. Its great to be able to relate.
My boyfriend Jason and I met at my father's hair salon where I worked as a shampoo girl, I had just turned 19 and was datung a wanna be bad*** punk kid who was actually 2 years younger than me. The punk kid and I had been going out for two years, which at the time sounded like an eternity to me. But things weren't really heading in the direction I was hoping. More like punk kid was heading to jail and I was making excuses for him...but I knew deep down that I couldn't deal with him much longer. I had a thing for the'bad boy' but this wasn't really what I had in mind.
So when I met Jason I was blown away that I could actually have an intelligent conversation without the pseudo intellectuallism that always comes wth punks. Jason was down to earth and real.
When he told me he was 28 I didn't think much of it. Age really didn't seem like an issue. All I knew it that I had found someone that I could really connect with. But needless to say my parents thought otherwise.
It was a very long and emotional struggle for me dealing with the judgement of my parents and wore me out mentally. But I had to make my own decisions, I had to follow my heart.
And that is what I did and 4 years later Jason has proven to be my soul mate and bestfriend. And he even left everything to move to Florida with me so I could go school to study paramedical skin care. Talk about being supportive!
Well, that was a bit of a long introduction, but I tend to do that. :o

lol it's not that hard to watch yaself, trust me, i had to learn also.

the two words we really don't edit are 'hell' and 'damn' although we don't want someone to inundate a post with those lol

you'll be fine ;)

and being edited for language is NOTHING

heck i had to mod MYSELF for posting a bad link because i wasn't paying attention, LOL

no worries :D

Tehe. I guess I just thought everyone here was 18 and over...but maybe I'm just a potty mouth with too many asumptions.
Anyways, I shall keep my posts nice and clean without the use of offensive language. Everyone here seems really nice and I'm glad I found this place!
Cheers everyone!
