I've never had an energy drink. I've never heard anything other than that they taste bloody awful. I drink loads of coffee, tea and cola, so I'm amped up enough on caffeine anyway.

I have a cup or a cup-and-a-half of French Press mud in the morning and don't usually need any more caffeine for the rest of the day. Mainly, because anything after say, 2:00, will probably affect my sleep.

The only time I might chug a Red Bull or something in the afternoon is if I'm totally doggin' it after a late night or if I'm planning ahead for staying out until the wee hours.

Yeah I'm a reformed energy drink junkie.... I used to drink 2 red bulls and a venti frappucino a day, then I ended up with some cardiac issues (which it turned out that I'd had since birth) and had to have surgery. So my cardiologist and the Dr's and nurses that I worked with made me stop which I did cold turkey for a while but I had to go back to having one caffienated beverage a day, the withdrawl headaches were killer.
