Whats up for the Weekend ?

Today I'm making my older daughter some quiche. She loves it, so I'm making it specially for her only.

For us, tonight we're going on a bus trip to a casino. Last night we went and purchased our bus trip goodies. Chips, M&M's, Skittles and Slim Jim's. (he luvs that stuff)

The teen daughter is going to a b-day party with friends. (Older daughter will checkup on her) :)

Tomorrow we're going to do yard work. Mowing, weeding out the flower beds, taking the grand baby's pool down..

Sunday church and rest.

The world series starts on Sat!!!! And my ASTROS will be playing...so you can guess what we'll be watching.

Going to try to take it easy this weekend...Alec's been working really hard this week...and will probably have to go in tomorrow for a little bit too. So i'm just gonna try to make this weekend as relaxing for him as I can.

Sunday...hopefully we'll get to check my car....somethings wrong with it as always. That and probably watch more baseball. *grin*

Tomorrow is house chore day and on Sunday we're going to a really good flea market to look for stuff for my artwork. Maybe we'll go out for breakfast before--it just depends how late we sleep in.

Got to bust out the chainsaw and carve up firewood. Winter's approaching and we like our wood stove. To hell with "skyrocketing natural gas and fuel oil prices" :D

Tons of other chores to do: Dishes, house-fixing, shopping, etc.

It will be stress day tomorrow. :(

When I left my ex, I just left with a suitcase and our son. I have been taking my stuff little by little but now my ex and I are going to sell our old house and I have to remove the rest of my stuff including china, furniture and assorted stuff. While married I put a lot of love in that house and it pains me to dissasemble it and make it empty. It represents a failed marriage, a broken promise to God.

I love my bf with all my heart but I still consider a divorce a personal failure.

A failure for not making the marriage work.
But mainly a failure for picking the wrong man in the first place.

As for my week-end, well, lets start with the boring stuff :rolleyes:
grocery, clean the house, laundry (I do that every day...argh), cooking.
Than I want to go see a documentary I talked about actually here. "Childhood stealers". In french its "Les voleurs d'enfance". I dont know if I'll go but I want to. Other than that, watch a good movie, rest. ooohhh. love the resting part! :D

today is my sons state fair day for all of the elementary kiddos. so we will probably be heading out there later. tomorrow will hangout with a friend of mine, go to the mall out to dinner and a movie. sunday--i dont do anything on sunday just relax for the day with my son, watch tv etc

Sunday I'll be going to the J. Paul Getty Museum to see an exhibit of manuscripts from the Middle Ages.

Friday night (tonight) Ill be "veggin". I go home and do NOTHING! My daughter is going to be at a birthday party, and my son sort of is in and out now....(15)

Tomorrow the usual, clean house in the morning, catch up on laundry :( and hopefully I can talk my new guy into coming out tomorrow night :D . If not, who knows. Sunday Im going shopping in the city closest to me.

I have private lessons to teach all day tomorrow :( My husband and daughter will probably go to a movie. When I get home we will either go out to eat or order chinese food in and play a family game.
Next weekend, after my work, we are all driving up to Milford, PA to see my old horse, Beau. He is 44 years old now and living at my best friends farm. I haven't been up there to see him in a while so I am really looking forward to it. God only knows how much longer he will live........he has already lived 10 years longer than the average age of most horses.

I spoke with a friend of mine and she and her kids are going to the fair as well today..

Its sad, but I've lived here almost 6 years now and have never made it to the fair yet. Every year its one of those, I'm going to make it, but just never do things.

I hear great things about it, they say the food is wonderful, even the fried twinkies and such.

Beau is a registered Appy, that is me and him in my avatar. I tried to post a larger picture of him in this post but I, however hard I tried,........ CAN'T figure the %^#* thing out.
Amina, yes he is sooo old but just a few months ago the vet told my friend, Wendy, that he looked to be in his early 30's. I pray he stays healthy for a while longer.
Your weekend sounds busy but fun.........I used to go to a church, with a bunch of artsy type people, in northern NJ that was all faiths and each week a different religion spoke. After church we would all go out to breakfast.
I miss that. Nothing that I have found around here has anything even a bit similar.

Tonight - going to dinner with my former best friend's soon-to-be-ex-husband..... hmm... that sounds bad, doesn't it? ha.... well he is my friend and we decided not to let this whole weird divorce thing wig us out and destroy our friendship.... It's time for us to catch up :)

Tomorrow - gonna clean out the linen closet, the guest room closet and the laundry room closet. Oh yeah - and somehow convince my daughter to help me clean the pool before it gets chilly on Sunday! Also going to my 5-year-old niece's birthday party - it's a sleepover so Aunt Karen will have to think of some reason to duck out early... haha!!

Sunday - kick back and hang out at home - REST! -- Watch the Cowboys game -- I will talk to Jay all in-between all this -- and probably during the game. Sometimes we watch a game together on TV - over the phone! We talk 2-3 times a day and definitely before we go to sleep. He's 2 hours ahead of me right now (until we change the clocks back NEXT WEEKEND) so sometimes it catches him off guard that I'm callin' to say goodnight so early !!!
