Bodhi Tree 10-22-2005, 09:53 AM It is true that I wanted to leave and I asked the mods to delete my account, but as soon as they did I found myself not able to use the options to read old threads and old posts again.
Not only that, but I felt like many good friends and people that I appreciate suddenly disappeared from my life.
Some kept in touch through e-mail and IM, but I missed interacting with people here.
Even though I only signed up in order to be able to use the options and promised myself never to post, my fingers just hit the keyboard and I did post.
I notified the mods as soon as signed up and they encouraged me to stay. I have also PM-d some of my friends here who promised to keep my identity a secret.
I keep absolutely no grudges against anyone, least of all the person who posted a hurtful message. Reading her posts I also realised that her and I share a similar past and understood why her post hurt me so much.
I won't be here as often as I used to because my job is getting more and more hectic. But I'm here and I preferred to tell you that.
I had no intentions to invent a character because Loucine was me. I just thought that Bodhi Tree could be a quiet version of Loucine.
My name is Aline by the way.
Michele 10-22-2005, 09:59 AM welcome back!!!

thatgirl 10-22-2005, 11:40 AM I read your posts over and over and thought to myself "This person sounds exactly like Loucine"
I thought it was very strange but accepted it for what it was.
Now I know why I felt that way.

Bodhi Tree 10-22-2005, 01:26 PM Thank you for welcoming me among you again. Two years is a long time and I do admit having felt a sudden void when my account was deleted.
I have learned so much here, and Teddikat, it would worry me if you said the contrary. If everyone agreed, the earth would not spin.
Amina, it is a great honour for me to be appreciated by someone as wonderful as you, I'mtruly blessed.
Of course sooner or later you would have found out who's behing the Bodhi Tree, one thing I have never succeeded in being is "fake".
I'll do my best not to annoy anyone, but I can't make promisses on that :o
please be patient with me when I'm in one of those baaaaaaaaaad moods.

Why did you pick the name Bodhi Tree?
Should we now refer to you as The Artist Formerly Known as "Loucine?"
Hey, that was my 500th post!

Bodhi Tree 10-22-2005, 06:09 PM cheers everyone, glad to be back!
why Bodhi Tree bubbleee ?
Because my sister who is 20 years my elder, a wonderful artist, who raised me and stood by my side all these years is a Buddhist nun. A few weeks ago she moved to a monastery in the Far East.
whiterose 10-22-2005, 08:29 PM So glad you decided to stay with us, Aline.

Rozie 10-22-2005, 08:38 PM Lol lol lol!!! :D Welcome back!!
BTW, that was a good one Mark. Made me think of a very pertinent song by that "other artist". Check out the song "Illusion, Coma, Pimp and Circumstance" on Prince's 2004, Musicology. Its a hoot!

lencarol 10-23-2005, 09:54 AM I am glad you are back, Lou. I wondered where you went and why. Don't always agree with what you say, but your posts always so interesting and insightful.
Really interesting, too, about your sister being a Buddhist nun. What wonderful things you must have learned from her. I was just looking up monasteries to visit the other day, ha ha--in Texas?! When I lived in Portland, OR would visit several in that vicinity on weekends. Love and miss the PNW, just not the rain!
Bodhi Tree 10-23-2005, 10:35 AM lancarol, I left my family when I was 16 and have been living in seperate countries for the past 20 years. I learned a lot from my sister but not since she became Buddhist. I used to only see her once a year but we talked on the phone about 5 times a week. Now I can only be in touch with her occasionaly. Life in a monastery has very strict rules.
I am however attracted to Buddhism as a philosophy, the same way I'm interested in Sufism but I am nowhere near considering any in debth research in any form of spirituality for the moment.
