Gypsyheart 10-25-2005, 08:17 AM I found this awesome online quiz that tells you how you think?
More female brained? More male brained?
I thought it was a pretty cool. Check it out and post your results for fun!

My score put me at 25 on the male side of the ruler. Might explain why I tend to get along better with men then women.
vivalagourami 10-25-2005, 08:59 AM Smack dab in the middle. 6 of one, half a dozen of another!
greeneyedgirl 10-25-2005, 09:10 AM 25 on the female side. which i have no clue what that means. i scored higher than both in alot of the stuff and along the same lines as a man in the rest.
now i'm confused. am i male or female?
dmjoy 10-25-2005, 09:37 AM I scored a 50% on the women side , but had to guess on the finger part
I could not be bothered to look for a ruler...
but it was a fun test, I love that stuff.
thanks Gypsy
miss b 10-25-2005, 10:20 AM I'm almost a man !!!
Dolphin1974 10-25-2005, 11:06 AM Your personal brain score: 25 male
Average score for MEN who've taken this survey: 50 male
Average score for WOMEN who've taken this survey: 50 female
Rozie 10-25-2005, 11:06 AM That was fun! Scored a 0. I'm an IT!! The IT girl!
Desert Spring 10-25-2005, 11:30 AM 25 female. Just like Green Eyed Girl :>
Gypsyheart 10-25-2005, 02:53 PM ROFLMAO.... c'mon now... no one here is sexually confused! (are we?)
I think it has more to do with which side of your brain your more inclined to use. The female side is more emphathetic, creative, verbal..... male side is more logical, less verbal, less emphathetic, and good with spatial problems. I thought it was fun, hehe :D
fos4snt 10-25-2005, 03:00 PM Now this is one weird test... tis all I can say. I've taken many different quizilla type tests over the years online which were to either guess my gender or tell me how male or female I am.
This is the FIRST one that said I was more female. TOMBOY here. (Yeah, don't look at the avatar, mmmmkay? Fluke there. LOL)
I'm the same as Trace. 25 femme.

CabinFever 10-25-2005, 05:38 PM 25 male here - I figured as much. Some strange questions tho! I thought it was pretty cool - but did anyone else have a hard time picking which faces you prefered? Ugh, they started to all look the same after a while...turns out that I like masculine men tho :D .
joelstrouble 10-26-2005, 02:35 AM 25 on the male side :p Something that didn't suprice me at all. I have always thought that man things were more interesting that women things... as a kid I playes with cars and boys, I played soccer, and playing police and robber were much more fun than playing with a jumping rope. I still prefer men friends over women.
whiterose 10-26-2005, 04:59 AM I scored 50 on the female side.
vivalagourami 10-26-2005, 08:06 AM I thought it was interesting on the face question that women's preferences change to prefer more masculine faces 9 days prior to ovulation.
There's a really facinating short article in the Scientific American this month about how the brain understands the notion of self. Its not specific to gender, but related more to personality. Its a neat piece even if its done by a science journalist.
Here's the teaser...

MerAlove23 10-26-2005, 10:48 AM 25 on the male side... :)
PinkCat 10-26-2005, 12:09 PM I too am an IT girl... 0!!
ruthie 10-27-2005, 04:55 PM 50 on the male side however I did catch one problem so I don't know if others things I chose were correct. I did come up with a bunch of words for grey and the results said I wrote (0) - so who knows if some of the other answers weren't marked correctly.
Kristin 10-29-2005, 04:13 PM 25% male. Not surprised!
Angles
This task tested your ability to identify the angle of a line by matching it with its twin. This is a spatial task, which looks at how you picture space.
Your score: 15 out of 20
If you scored 13 - 17: You found this test neither hard nor easy. This suggests your brain has male and female traits when it comes to spatial ability.
Spot the difference
This task tested your ability to identify which objects changed position. You lost points, if you incorrectly identified objects.
Your score: 64%
Average score for men: 39%
Average score for women: 46%
If you scored between 67 - 100%: Those with a female-type brain generally score in this range. Your ability to remember where objects are may serve as an advantage to you when you're trying to find your way around places. You're more capable of recalling landmarks to get from one place to another.
Left thumb on top: This suggests the right half of your brain is dominant. Some studies theorise that as a right brain dominant person, you may excel in visual, spatial and intuitive processes.
This task looked at whether you prefer to empathise or systemise.
Empathising
Your empathy score is: 6 out of 20
Your systemising score is: 14 out of 20
Average score for men: 12.5 out of 20
Average score for women: 8.0 out of 20
Your score: 8 out of 10
Average score for men: 6.6 out of 10
Average score for women: 6.6 out of 10
What does your result suggest?
If you scored 7 - 10: Your result suggests you are a good empathiser, sensitive to other people's emotions. Women generally fall into this category. (Yet I had a low empathy score.)
We asked you to measure your ring and index fingers. Your ratios came to:
Right Hand: 1.01
Left Hand: 0.93 (Ring finger much longer than index on left, about even on right. Don't know what that means)
Faces
This task looked at how you rate the attractiveness of a series of faces. The images you looked at were digitally altered to create slight differences in masculinity.
Your choices suggest you prefer more masculine faces.
(I'd like to know the ratio here. Jeremy has very full lips and is not a caveman, but he's not a pretty boy, either. I think he falls midway.)
3D shapes
This task tested your ability to mentally rotate 3D shapes.
Your score: 12 out of 12
Average score for men: 8.2 out of 12
Average score for women: 7.1 out of 12
If you scored 10 - 12: Are you an engineer or do you have a science background? People with these skills tend to score in this range. Past studies have concluded that people in this range have a more male brain.
(Think my art and interior design talents helped?)
This task looked at your verbal fluency.
Your score: you associated 6 word(s) with grey and you named 9 word(s) that mean happy. We are assuming that all the words you entered are correct.
Average score for men: 11.4 words total
Average score for women: 12.4 words total (adding the two or for each word?)
What does your result suggest?
If you produced 6 - 10 words: Most people in this range have a female-type brain.
Ultimatum
This task asked you how you would divide money.
If you had to split £50 with someone, you said you would demand £25
So far on the Sex ID test, men have demanded 51.6% (£25.80) of the pot and women have demanded 51.0% (£25.50), on average.
What does your response suggest?
Sex differences are small in this task. Demanding less than 60% of the pot (ie £30) is more typically female. Demanding more than 65% of the pot (ie £32.50) is more typically male.
Kristin 10-29-2005, 04:17 PM I think women are tending to do better in math and science because schools aren't letting them take a back seat to the boys as much anymore?
ruthie 10-29-2005, 07:40 PM I also think I scored a high male score because I do well with visual things, mathematical things - comes from training in communication design. One of the disclaimer statements said, results might be effected by intelligence (something something) - I would presume specific training.
