OK this is a 100% true story from the frontlines -- of one of the many people unfortunate enough to have to work in the hell that is customer service.

It's 9 pages long, but definitely worth reading:

Very interesting, enlightening and funny stuff. Working in customer service is the pits, as I also unfortunately am in that line of work and looking for the way out. So I do a few months here and there, try to get by working only half the year, is all I can stand. Am convinced 80% of the population is composed of fat meanspirited whiners, it really gets old. And we wonder why the rest of the world despises us!

I will have to say, on the other side, customer service in general also has really declined. As a customer, I see alot of noncaring and rudeness repeatedly, wherever I go. And I travel extensively throughout the country. So is probably us as a people overall who need to improve our attitudes and care more for each other.

This reminds me of something I've heard recently...

Get this, this is pretty weird: my ym's family runs/partly owns a pub that also serves food. Well, once upon a time, this guy came in and ordered a plate of chicken wings. He ate them. When he was finished, the server asked if he was done and he said yes, and then he went to the bathroom. When he came back, his plate of chicken bones was gone. He went APE. Said he was saving the bones for his dog (note here: dogs are not supposed to have chicken bones because they splinter and can choke them). He totally lost it. Threatened legal action. And... the pub did end up having to go to small claims court over this!!! No joke. The judge just said, "Don't waste my time. Case closed." What a total nut job.
