Well, definitely give us your review. I find the previews fairly interesting... and you are quite right about Jake Gyllenhall. BUBBLE BOY!!!

HEY!!! We AGREE on something!!! *cartwheels* LOL!!!

I'm totally freakin' in LOVE with the theme song, though. I'm hoping... hoping... hoping someone gets me a copy of the soundtrack for my birthday ~ or just that dang song!! HAHAHHAA... It's SO good.

I'll probably wait to see this one on DVD though. There's a couple other movies coming out I really want to see (Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia ~ which my sister worked on!! ~ and that other very new kids movie... Zamphera or something?? Looked neat)

He was such a sexy dork in Bubble Boy and Donnie Darko. I wanted him so bad then. Now that he is buff and really hot, I can't even contain myself!! LOL

I saw this movie tonight....and it was just ok to me :o There wasnt really a point to the movie (or maybe I just didnt get it  )

I didnt know what to expect when I saw it....all I knew was that it had something to do with the war.

There was a lot of talk about masturbation and a lot of cussing...but then again it was rated R.

But Jake Gyllenhall was extremely hot in this movie!!! That was the best part! ;) And he did do a very good job playing his role in the movie....

I am going to see it later today....I really hope I can find a point, b/c if Sam Mendes stooped to the level of making a pointless movie, I will be highly disappointed, i've found him a great director up until this point. love him.

I think it was a great film because it wasn't actually about war, it was about people, who happen to be in a war, their lives and their emotions.

Great acting, beautiful cinematography. Funny as hell, but still emotional. Bravo.

BINGO!! My wife and I saw it. We both liked it. I thought it was great.

People who want to go see a lot of shooting, rocket-fire and blazing gunfights will be disappointed. That's not what it's all about.

The book is quite good. I doubt I will see the movie though. Jake is one good lookin' boy, but I never cared much for Sam Mendes work, specifically American Beauty, which every one took to be eye opening but I took to be, well, mediocre at best. (3 minutes of a plastic bag dancing with the wind? Was it supposed to be naturalist...or even prophetic? Who knows? Not Sam Mendes because the movie didn't make much sense.) I don't think Sam Mendes has made anyother movies.

And on the trailer music...I don't know what else is on the soundtrack, but I might reccomend getting that instead of College Dropout. For anyone who has heard the singles off the album, they are hot...meaning Jesus Walks and Two Words (with Mos Def and Freeway) but the album as a whole was a huge dissapointment. There's a couple passable tracks like Get 'Em High, which Common, who has no flow at all, does his best to ruin...but the album is not worth it $18.00.

I love Sam Mendes!! And American Beauty is my favorite movie of all time, it is even my screen name!! I am also and indie freak though, it's not an indie, but it has the indie feel. I just think it is a beautiful movie--the story, the feeling, the acting, the script and the symbolism of the colors...so beautiful. From a cinematic stand point if you were to pause certain scenes they are just gorgeous they speak with out words. He's a man after my own heart, I think he gives something to film that has long been lost. But to each his own. Some people call me a freak because I can't stand Star Wars.

He also directed Road to Peridition. He has some things in production now...he's only like 44 I think...young in the director world, I look foward to see more from him.

I love American Beauty also...I love Kevin Spacey. *grin* It's such an interesting movie to me.

As for the theme song....are you talking about "Jesus Walks" by Kanye West? Thats the song they play in the trailiers here. I LOVE that song...the best line in the song is...

"The way Kathy Lee needed Regis...thats the way I need Jesus!"

I think I'll rob the new album...get this...Late Registration (LAME!) off the net tonight.

I respect Kayne all the way, he just cant' rap. LOL. I got a kick out of the "George Bush don't care about black people" stunt. HA HA! Awesome! Was it 1968 Mexico City...No..but it was still pretty hard core.

saw the movie, adam still in afghan till feb 06. made me miss him, made me sad remembering all the dear john letters to the soldiers that he told me about. if i were 20 something not sure if i could have handled either. the experience that adam has WILL stay with him for the rest of his life and of this i am sure and i think the movie did a great job of explaining the bond and the pride that comes along with being a soldier.

Saw Jarhead, LOVED it!!!

I really thought it was great. Very well done. Effective without being manipulatively disturbing.
