Anyone into hip hop hear about Fort Minor?
It is Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park and other people such as Styles of Beyond, Common, and John Legend, plus my favorite Jonah Matranga (he's not a rapper)

This CD is growing on me, its called The Rising Tied and it just came out last Tuesday. you can check them out at http://www.fortminor.com

Thanks for the insight. I love Linkin Park's music , just haven't been bothered to get into the band members individual names. Has Fort Minor hit the radio waves yet and if they have, is their a single that they are giving air time to thats really good?
Before I let you go, I'd like to make a point about a lot of the bands out there over the past few years including Linkin Park. This band is great, their rythyms are passionate and infectious, but what has happened to the art of playing lead guitar? Up untill their last album, even , Nickelback, is another band with great rythymic power chords but not much lead.
I come from a generation, that was totally spoiled by such greats as Jimmy Page, SRV, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Santana, Neil Schon from Journey. Eddie Van Halen....I can go on and on. It just seems to me that the art is fading away a bit over the past five to ten years. What do you think?

Somewhat, I think that has happened more in the mainstream than in music in general. Talented artists dont get onto the mainstream and more produced and 'radio friendly' or 'sexy' artists get on the radio now a days.

I hardly listen to music on the radio so I'm not sure if Fort Minor is on the radio or not yet, my guess is probably.

You can stream the whole album on their website either way.
