I think it's a wonderful advancement in medicine and hope that she doesn't experience any sort of rejection.

The thing they didn't mention in the article was that a bone marrow transplant was performed, also, from the same donor to help prevent infection and, to help her body, to be able to accept the transplant. :)

I photographed Dubernard, it was in 1995 I think when he did his first hand transplant. It freaked me out actually to see the patient with the hand of a dead man :eek:
