Isn't 9 1/2 weeks an age gap movie (its not a huge age gap......but I was sure Mickey Rourke was quite an age as to Kim Bassinger)....

Huge fan of Lost in Translation

Ghost World, which is another favorite, (Thora birch playing 18 develops a relationship with Steve Buscemi supposed to be around 40 )

I haven't seen this one, but I am dying to rent beautiful girls, I think the premise is Natalie Portman, playing 13, falls for a much older neighbor around 30

American Beauty...the attraction between Kevin Spacey and Mena Suvari

There is an indie film, called Corn, Jena Malone playing a teen gets pregnant by an older business man

Wow thanks guys didn't realize how many movies there are out there on this.
I did see Autumn in NY, which was excellent.

Now, which of these movies are the better ones?

Thanks guys for all your help?

IYE...I like to think I'm an indie fan....but really...if you put a movie in front of me...I'll watch it. *grin*

Although...I'm not such a big fan of older movies...i'm not sure why...It's strange.

I loved Secretary...it's really a beautiful movie...but I feel like people only see the kinky aspect of it...and that turns them off. :)

exactly...

the average movie watcher is a fool LOL. It's a great story...

I have some other good indie and low budget films for you not just age gaps all topics:

Welcome to the Dollhouse (a girl trying to find her place in suburban life)
Storytelling (the difference between reality and fiction)
The Woodsman(inside the mind of an ex phedophile)
Saved!(dark comedy about religion)
The Virgin Suicides(sisters kept under lock and key by their parents)
Pumpkin(spoiled rich girl who falls for a disabled guy)
Donnie Darko(see for yourself lol, very interesting one, has Maggie AND Jake Gylennhall)

I don't recommend "Automn in New York". It puts down the age difference.

I've seen both Saved and The Virgin Suicides....I liked them both...but I LOVED Saved...that movie is sooo funny!!!

I have seen TONS of age gap movies, but I don't remember the names of them all, some of them are mentioned here, but you know, there are some actors who have several movies where they play roles where he is older than the wife or gf, not always centered on the relationship, but hehe :o I just can't help but notice!!! Try Jack Nicholson movies, or Al Pacino's, Harrison Ford, Michael Cain, Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, etc.

I always had a HUGE crush on John Malkovich since I was a little girl... :o

Yes, you're right...As Good as it gets is a GREAT movie...won an oscar...Jack Nicolson and Helen Hunt. She's in her early 30's I would say and he's supposed to be playing at least in his 50s.

He he..."What if this is as good as it gets?" I quote that all the time.

Sometimes I'll throw out, "Do you have control over how creepy you allow yourself to get." I didn't think it was the greatest movie...I think Jack Nicholson's character gets ruined because he is resolved incorrectly. Good setup, bad denoumont if you will.

I love movies, but I very rarely see what I consider to be a good and more importantly a complete one.

I like the orignal Sabrina because my entire life has been looking for Bogey (screw that dad stuff, I saw Casablanca one too many times as a kid) and I eventually bought my man a really nice coat and fedora to prove it.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the classic "Gone with the Wind". Scarlett and Rhett had an age gap relationship, didn't they? :)
