Haven't been here for a while. Just posted a thread and it ate it---I don't know where it went!
My YM husband and I (it will be a year in January--whee hee!) moved to another state so I could accept a job promotion. The move was stressful and I got pregnant at the end of summer. We were happy about it, my YM really likes children and expressed recently that he wanted one with me.
After the move, before I started my first day of work, I had a natural miscarriage at 10-11 weeks. It was traumatic and very painful. I seemed to get over it pretty well emotionally, but I was dragging for a while. We are going to try again, but I'm a little worried (I'm 41 now). It seems that once you get older, you loose so much time and its precious when it comes to having a kid. We are going to go for it one more time. We learned through this process that many women have gone through miscarriages, more than I realized. Some still managed to have kids, some didn't. It seems fairly common. We don't want to adopt--I know a couple who lost their adopted child after a year to the biological father. I couldn't deal with that.
We are a little isolated now in a new place without any friends since we've only been here a few months, but we have each other, and we have a strong foundation to build on. Right now, even after all of this, I feel confident in our future together.
Merry Christmas
Susie
